Hello been a while since i posted . Here is my ew project a fully articulated action figure , this is he first time doing a whole figure joints and all . I started with a Iron Man 2 Iron Monger and sculpted the original out of apoxie sculpt , then made molds , and cast it . This is the first figure from the new molds , it still has some clean up before i decide which chapter to make it.
Would love some feedback.

Excellent! I wonder why GW hasn't done this yet? What chapters are you considering and is this the only one in the works?

Thanks Heliodore , i think GW dose not make action figures because , the amount of plastic in one figure would make a few sprues worth of minis so they would lose money. Mabey we will get a Space Marine figure when the game comes out. I have not decided which chapter yet , this is the only one i am working on right now but i have the molds and am going to make more .

Hello its been a while time for some updates, i decided on legion of the damned for the first figure , and finished some of the other castings i have been working on. The first thing i have changed is i have given him a powerfist with articulated fingers , with a chainfist attachment . He now has a burning chalice on the back of his armor , which can be removed and i am working on a cyclone missle launcher also. I am adding also a pic for size comparrison with gi joes and iron man figs. If anyone has any intrest in one of these send me a pm. Thanks

This is a very cool project that's coming along really well. Can't wait to see how he looks all painted up. I would say that the chainfist looks much too long though. It's only supposed to go a bit further forward than the fingers

Very nice work. You captured the GW aesthetic spot-on.

On an aside, the guy on the left w/ the Thunder Hammer reminds me of Buzz Lightyear without the shoulder pads:

I know you posted a pic with another figure for scale, but I am not familiar with the figure. Is that a standard 4" action figure, making these Termies weight in at about 6"?
*EDIT* On closer inspection, the action figures look like Snake Eyes from G.I. Joe and Iron Man in the back, so I guess they are the 4". Are you going to use these Termies as display? Terrain pieces? A couple of those would make fantastic pillars/statues on a large building or jungle ruin, etc.

***EDIT #2: Super edit***
HOLY CRAP! I just re-read the title of this thread then looked closer at the termies... These are action figures? As in articulated joints?!?! This thread just ramped up to frikking awesome

My big complaint is that the heads are far too small; they're supposed to fill up that 'inner-box' space.

Youve got to realize that GW has a REALLY fethed up scale on their minis. His scale actually looks pretty spot on, if he made the head fill it like in GW land, then the heads would be like 3x the size of a normal head

This is amazing! Somehow the proportions you use make them seem more, 'real', than the actual GW models

The heads are a little bit too small, otherwise, this is an awesome job. You will do some cast for sale?

The small heads sell it for me, makes out how big the armour actually is, more than just looking like a fat facemarine

Well just imagine how big their torsos are in comparison to their heads... the guy on the left in the pic above is a pretty good example; it's very much disproportionate.

And GW terminator heads are the same size as the heads for the other models.

GW are heroic scale so the heads are disproportionately large to begin with.
Furthermore the bodies for GW Terminators are far too small.
Others may disagree but to be fair to Soulbrother this is not really the place for such a discussion and we ought take it elsewhere to continue.

Hello thanks for all the input i appreciate it , the proportions of the figures i know are not the standard GW proportions , i was told the shoulders are to low compaired to a GW termie .This is just my take on the terminator not that GW's is wrong or anything i just wanted it to look like a big guy in a bigger suit of armor . The head size was a deffinate choice for m because i wanted to keep the figs in scale with GI Joe and other similar sized figs for othe projects , like a gi je movie Duke i plan on turning into an eldar warrior , or a gi joe movie destro i am modding into a Death Corps of Kreig Commissar .So they should match up pretty well , most of the heads i am useing for the terminators are just a tad larger than gi joe figs like Halo and WWE build and brawl.

A landraider would be awsome , i actually talked about that with a buddy , but that is a project for later, i am working on a drop pod , and i have got as far as the main frame. As for how long it took to make these i started last year around this time and picked at it for a few months then let it sit for another couple months , and in june i decided to finish the project the sculpting and mold makeing , so about a year to make off and on.

I am going to posta a tutorial step by step this week on assembeling these guys . So if anybody wants one shoot me a pm and keep an eye on this thread .
Again thanks for the compliments and critiques , all appreciated.
