I am new to Fantasy and am interested in doing a big Chaos horde formed of Daemons, Warriors and Beasts. Is it legal for me to play these all at once in a normal game, or are the allies rules designed for more than one player per side?

Allies are meant for multi-player games. With that said, if you and you opponent agree, you can do whatever you like.

For normal pick-up games/tournaments, it's not meant to be done that way.

Looks pretty on the table, but not legal anymore (used to be legal in the last set of books).

Too bad really, it was the only way to do a themed army that wasn't dull.

But sadly only when you play doubles is that allowed so best thing to to is get a friend into the game and see if he likes daemons then you are set.
