Anyone know, hear or care to guess if the new SoB list will include the militia and wht they will look like?

How about the Confessor and funky retinue? I imagine it iwll have the non-combat sisters from the WH codex.

I don't have any hard facts, so I'm just guessing. But since it's being published as an article in a magazine rather than an actual book, I imagine it's going to be small.

I am very disappointed to hear that Arbites are out. They have always been one of my favorite parts of the Imperium's fluff.

Arbites were never "in". You were supposed to use the Inquisitorial Stormtrooper entry and give them shotguns for representing Arbites.

I say no on militia, because no matter what the intentions are they're gonna turn into GEQs with melta guns that you can put into chimera and spam, I can just see it coming.

I think you're right about the Confessor, Kid Kyoto, and I think it's going to be not dissimilar to the GK Inquisitor retinues.

Might even see a special character equivalent to Coteaz that allows them to be taken as troops. My money's on Arch-Confessor Kirianov coming back, even if I can't remember how his name is spelt.

It wouldn't surprise me too much if they ended up wrapping the militia into a confessor-retinue-option, the way the GK codex ended up going. I'd much rather see them as a separate blob-squady type unit, but I guess we'll see.

I doubt that the WD codex will have any new units really with the exception of a revamped confessor and possibly a few new/old special characters. To me that means no Frateris militia. I'd love for them to be in there but I'm not holding my breath. if they show up they will have no mdoels to use with them as even Guard models would be better equipped than the Militia.

Thing is the militia aren't a new unit they were in the 2nd edition codex, the CA list and then in WD after Witch Hunters came out.

They've always been there to bulk out the numbers for the SoB and provide a tarpit. I always thought the mix of power armor and guard equivlants is what made the SoBs different from just being marines light.
