Any one watching luther on BBC 1 serial killer who uses a dice to decide if people should die or not and leaves a spray paints a 8 pointed chaos star at the sceen.
Could this be a future reaction to the way GW is going ? Lol

Heh I just caught some of that. Nice-looking silver D20s. Surely a 40k player on a bender would be scattering D6 everywhere?

Worked it out. The felon in question would storm through the offices of a major wargames company, lets call it "Games Workhouse", poking out eyes with a red plastic "Measuring Stick", hurling circular blast templates like Shuriken, scattering plastic goblin spearmen on the floor like caltrops, and then explosively rape the agency receptionists, daub himself with their blood, and launch himself into a board meeting swinging a carry case like a warhammer.

Luther would scowl at Token White Detective and Grumpy Boss Detective, and demand to know why this had "gone down". Snooty Black WPC Detective would say "Boss, he seems to be re-enacting a work of fiction."

"What work? Mein Kampf? This isn't Nazi. Well, Games Workhouse might be a front for a white supremacist group, lookin' at all these eagles, but the killer isn't."

"No boss. They call it "fluff". Written by this geezer called 'Mat Ward'. The agency receptionists are just hired hands. They're innocent you see boss? "

"Matt. Two T's detective. Sloppy work. Now our killer might walk."

"No. Seriously boss, he spells it 'Mat'."

*Luther trashed office* "PRETENTIOUS TOSSER!!!"

*insert sub-plot about prostitutes*

Not seen Luther yet, but watching Idris Elba in The Wire at the moment. He's fantastic in that, although he has a great character to play. I love his world weary manner when one of his cohorts makes a mess of things and his desire to apply economics to the drug dealing trade.

He was pretty good in Thor too.

Brilliant.

Yeah, I quite like Luther. I do think the villains have been a bit (a lot) silly, though.

Tell you what, I would so go gay for Idris Elba. That is one hell of a good-looking man right there.

LOL!

Wow. You totally nailed how Luther is structured. Well done.

Spoiler:

Anyway, just watched the final part of the 'Dice Killer'. Luther obvious cheated in the final battle, but then again the killer spent too long walking through the streets drawing way too much agro from the sniper teams, so he was bound to get ganked by them in the end.

Thanks for that! I'd recorded it and was planning to watch it tonight.

Now me and Mrs. Albatross will have to just have sex instead.

Happy now?

I just started watching this with my wife. We got through the entire first series in nearly a single watching, and I've got the second for later.

1.) Wouldn't Luther get fired for his outbursts alone? I don't know how you guys roll in the UK, but you're gonna be sitting outside HR the first time you throw a phone through a window, here.

2.) In the episode where the former marine was hunting the cops, are they really all unarmed? How does that even work?

3.) Any word on if there will be a third series? I haven't seen the second, so if there won't be because he dies at the end, please omit that.
