Hi, I haven't posted in a bit, but now that summer is in full swing I have more time for painting and assembling models. I've made this page to record my work on my personal chaos warband the Bone Fiends. Today I made a lot of progress on one of my basic squad members, and i still need to take pics of my Daemon Prince, but he'll be up soon enough but here's todays progress for everyone to enjoy! ...or not enjoy, I'm a novice and I've never painted or assembled wargaming models so please no deconstructive comments.

Really awesome stuff, especially for your first. I love the colors too. They do look a lot like old bones.

It is a nice colour scheme.

Effective and quite well done.
Practice will make it better, as you will get used to the way the paints work when applying them.

But a very good start.

Because I can't help myself, and it is in no way directed at anyone in particular:

Yo mama's a bone fiend!

Now that this is out of the way, I'd like to say that that is an outstanding paint scheme. If I'm being honest, that may be the most intimidating modeling/painting job on a Daemon Prince that I've ever seen. Well done.

its fine, dude; for a beginner you're off to an excellent start! I see that you used white primer so that's good; I'd water down the paints a tad more so they go down a lottle more smoothly. a hundred thin layers is better than one or two thick ones that come out clumpy and obscure details!

For the bone, I'd reccommend some Devlan Mud wash, and some asuremen blue wash for the blue areas, but Badab Black may work as well. Badab Black on all the metallics and in the deepest recesses and some eyes and he'll be ready for war!

After washing, I'd recommend a light drybrushing or highlight of the base color to really make it pop; for battle damage, take a dark color (not black) like Charadon Granite and make a few marks here and there, paint some metal in the middle of the biggest ones, and highlight the BOTTOM of these chips and viola! battle damage!

Thanks for the tips Kepora
And haha I'm starting to wonder if he'll even fight or just terrify enemies to suicide
And I'll be putting up pictures of all my completed modeling work and the entirely finished paintjobs of a few. They'll hopefully be up by tomorrow as long as nothing gets in my way

I love how this is coming along. The conversions are great and the color scheme is awesome. The runes are a nice touch as well.
