Like the title, I was wonering if there was a way, since I switch from computer, to phone, to tablet and back.

The avatar is uploaded to the Dakka server so it shouldn't make any difference where you access Dakka from - once its uploaded, its there.

If you're using a phone or tablet, the site defaults to the "mobile" theme which doesn't display avatars and other items to save on bandwith. I suspect that's what you're seeing and thinking you need to upload an avatar again. When on your computer, click on the switch theme link on the upper right under the ad banner and see if that is what you're seeing on your mobile device.
