It has come to my attention that the Dark Eldar have very little in the way of Apoc formations so I thought that I would give making up rules for one a try!

Nightwing Jetfighter-315 pts

The Nightwing is based on a Razorwing Jetfighter with a payload designed to take out Titans and Superheavies and a pilot who has showwn extreme skill at taking out these opponents.

Energy Field, Dark Lance x2, Twin-Linked Dark Lance and Shadowlance Missiles x4

Shadowlance Missiles:

Shadowlance Missiles open a portal into the vehicle that it is shot at exploding once inside of the vehicle.

Range S AP Type
48" 8 1 Melta, Heavy 1, One Use Only

In addition for very Penetrating Hit that a Shadowfield Missile causes, it causes another D3-1 glancing hits that only get the -2 modifier.

Energy Field:

The Nightwing is surrounded by a field of energy much like a flickerfield, but more powerful.

The Energy Field gives the Nightwing a 4++ Invulnerable Save

Special Rules:
Supersonic, Aerial Assault, Tank Hunters

Well for starters it would make much more sense if this was based on the Void Raven Bomber, which is more likely to be doing air to ground work rather than the Razorwing Fighter, which in Apoc is more likely to be on air to air duties. It should also be a flier not a skimmer (particularly as in Apoc both the Void Raven and Razorwing should be used as fliers anyway), which makes some of the special rules pointless. Personally I would be more inclined to start with the Void Raven and give it options to either drop a pair of significantly buffed Void Mines (think 5" D Templates) but not take any missiles, or not take the Mine and get 4 anti tank missiles similar to the ones you have listed.

Giving a missile lance doesn't work. A lance weapon has that property because it is a consistant beam of energy, and it doesn't matter how heavy your armour is, because it just continues to wear away at it. Giving the lance rule to a one-shot missile doesn't work, because it delivers its payload in one big explosion, rather than a constant ray of energy that bores through all types of armour.

Sorry, I'm afraid I don't really understand your question.

Rather than an area effect explosion - can the force of the missile be transmitted into a beam (or lance) like effect?

You're thinking of a Gamma Ray Laser, which is nowhere near practical. Each shot means you have to detonate a nuclear bomb and contain the force of it, focusing it into a coherent beam. The Eldar could probably do it, but they'd be just as well off with a regular Lance.

Although this would be an interesting weapon for Titans.

You could give it some special rule that treats all armour facings as one less if you want, so long as you came up with a fluffy reason for it.

What about I make a rule for the missiles that foor every penetrating hit it does it also does D3-1 Glancing Hits that don't get modifiers except for the glancing one?

Sounds fine, so long as their is a fluffy reason for it, and is reflected in the cost.

Firstly, the Nightwing is an Eldar interceptor, I'd make up a new name were I you. Secondly, the Dark Eldar already have the Ravager Titan-Hunters formation, which is actually a more effective way of taking down Titans than this.
