maybe they can take a page from the original Confrontation minis way back when, and do the push fits as armless bodies which come with a selection of arms with weapons? which would let you customize your crew, but also make assembly a lot easier.

That's pretty much what the Hive Scum kit is. 2-3 piece bodies, separate arms & heads.

F - is the Fire that rains from the skies.
U - for Uranium Bomb!
N - is for No Survivors...

There is a rumor that the miniatures in this new Box will be 'push-fit'.

I hope this is wrong and just a nasty rumor as I have always loved the multi-part kits for individuality and 'kit-bashing'

Push fit bodies with ample space to magnetise weapons or arms/weapons combos would be the best compromise.

I personally hate having to scour unsequenced numbered parts and get the exact right one in the exact right spot, repeated 20+ times for a single miniature.

You won't get magnet spaces on them.
Goliaths maybe are the only infantry who would be chunky enough.

Most of the others are quite lanky humanoid models without power armour. There's just no space to put good sized magnets into them. Yes you can do it and most of those magnet connections will wobble because the magnet is tiny.

Push fit I can see being a potential, esp if its a standard "starter set must be push fit" mandate from GW. That could happen and you can have multi-part push-fit models. I suspect you could even do it whilst having universal heads and arms.

That said being highly customisable is part of Necromunda's core; whatever GW does if they take that aspect away from it then the game itself loses a huge portion of its power in the market.

2mm magnets work fine for all but escher weapons, and I have 1mm magnets for them....

I hope the new box set comes with a small core rule book like 40K, which is then sold for a reasonable price to people wanting to get into Necromunda. Cheap core book, updated House books and an essentials kit including dice templates, counters and cards...and a pony.

I bet some nostslgia snobs would pay for it and claim its somehow a great set of models. Even the weapons were to blocky and ugly to loot.

Wonder if we might see further plakky Hangers On? We’ve had one set (and very nice they are too), so presumably that was at least a toe in the water.

My pet, I'm-well-aware-I-might-be-way-off theory about this is that it's primarily intended to get rid of as many resin lines as possible and that no House gangs will have any resin kits at all (except dramatis personae) once they're done going through the main six again. New goodies as well, of course.

The Orlocks are OK. Kind of. The Goliaths were hard to love even back then.

Just so long as there's no repeat of the 'arms attached, hands seperate' from the second generation of Necromunda metals. Yuck.
