The latest additions to my mostly RT Blood Angels force:

Dread has a massive mould line, but it's lead so I didn't manage to improve it very much... Doesn't look quite so bad in real life

Your paintjobs are good, and I like your style - it's very distinctive. however, there's a big, obvious moldline running down the dreadnought, and you didn't paint Corbulo's eyes! I can excuse the mold lines on the dread as it's already painted and repainting it would be a pain, but you've got nothing to lose by painting Corbulo's eyes!

Not painting the eyes is sometimes a style of painting leaving them dark

Style or not, it looks better painted. That's like saying that drilling the barrels on bolters is a style. Regardless, it looks better if you do it.

In two minds about the eyes, some of the models I have painted them on look great, others gak.

Will prolly get around to it, but I am nervous of screwing it up.

It's worth a try. The technique I like is just to paint a horizontal line of black in the socket, then a narrower horizontal line of white in the middle of it, then a tiny little black vertical line in the middle representing the pupil & iris. The little bit of black above and below the white represents the eyelids. When people try to paint an eye round, you usually get a silly bug-eyed effect. If you look at yourself with a normal expression in the mirror, you'll notice that the top and bottom of your iris are overlapped by your eyelids; there's no white visible above or below them.

there is nothing wrong with not painting eyes, sometimes they can look really off or stilted. Its just a choice

Just throw a tiny bit of thinned wash in there, it will settle in the recesses, and the eyeball will stand out more. Leviathan purple/ogre, perhaps?
