Whattup fellow Imperial Fist brother! Lysander is an awesome HQ, but in order for him to be super-awesome, you should be taking advantage of all his abilities. Including Bolter Drill. Which, btw, is really good with Sternguard Vets, if you can configure them into your list. I love TH/SS Termies in Land Raider Crusaders, but the squad is SUPER expensive in anything under 1750. You could put Lysander w/ Sternguard in a Pod for far less points, and free up options for the rest of the army. At least 100+ points. I would consider combi-weapons for your Tac Squads, if you can model them. They're solid upgrades and focus the group a little more on what they're good at killing. Hunter-Killer missiles are a nice way to spend 10 extra points if you have them lying around, but usually the points can be better spent elsewhere on other upgrades. Scouts are a cool way to take advantage of Bolster Defenses, but make sure you give them Cloaks so they can steal a 2++ save from a regular piece of cover. The Land Speeder really needs some upgrades to be worthwhile. I don't think you're gonna need a Storm to transport the Scouts around (they're better off Cloaked in Bolstered terrain, IMO ...especially since they all have heavy weapons). I'd turn it into a Land Speeder w/ MM & HF to cause some early disruption and be able to target whatever weakness you wanna exploit. Or you can decide to Pod your army for early disruption and use Darnath w/ Sternguard supported by Podded Dreads (another tactic I like) Here's a Pod list that's fun and pretty solid that takes full advantage all Lysander has to offer: Darnath Lysander 200 Sternguard Veterans x5 (Combi-Meltas) in Drop Pod (185) Ironclad Dreadnaught w/ HF in Drop Pod (180) Dreadnaught w/ MM & HF in Drop Pod (150) Tactical Squad (Flamer, Combi-Flamer, ML in Rhino) 215 Tactical Squad (Melta, Combi-Melta, MM in Rhino) 220 Scout Squad x5 (Snipers, ML, Cloaks) 100 =1250 exact. Hope that helps man, cheers.
