Okay. Just bought a new desktop computer, and every single time I turn it on, Channel 7 cuts out. It goes completely dark. I live in Torquay, Victoria, Australia, and I have NO IDEA what to do.

I tried turning its wireless off, but no use. It happens to both TV's in the house, and they run on digital AND analogue signal. All other channels are unaffected. Some say its because they run on the same power circuit, others say its to do with the PSU. I have no idea. Any technosavants that have any idea how to fix this?

There is no reason for it at all. Your gaming rig may be posessed. Please call Ghostbusters and leave the building.

I would say that this is Judgement Day and that you better start running towards nuclear bombproofs in the next several minutes.

Same power circuit? You mean something like this?

Just swap it and see what happens. However if they TV runs just fine on other channels, that is not the problem as it wouldn't go at all.

Perhaps simply don't turn it on when people want to watch channel 7?

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Only thing I could think of would be some very weak shielding on the TV end. How are your televisions and computer hooked up? Do they use the same broadband connection?

Nope. Crappy programming is killing Ch7.

Do we really need more "talent" shows and other crud that they broadcast?

If you have all your electricals plugged into a single extension lead it might be that your extension lead is faulty. Try swapping it with another or buy a new one as having a spare is always handy.

If they are on the same power circuit (not uncommon to have all the gpos on one circuit), then the PSU is probably taking too much power (my own desktop rig psu pulls 750 watts. Currently (due to house reno) we have half the power circuits available. We can run the fridge OR my desktop).

Part of our reno is the redesign of our circuit box with an additional 4 circuits - which will allow more stuff to be used at the same time).
