If you could ad one unit to the Eldar codex, what would it be.

I'm going with an assault transport. Having been in battles where a massive space marine land raider, storm raven, rhino, thunder hawk, what have you, come flying up from behind cover or even off the board, drop off an bit assault squad which then charges into me and ravages a unit without having to cross any incoming fire. Then here comes my falcon or wave serpent with harlequins, howling banshees say and they jump out, then sit there twiddling their thumbs while the dug in marines rapid fire their poor 5+ saves into oblivion. The remaining one or two that survive make a heroic attempt to fight but disappear before the now outnumbering marines. I want a nice fast skimmer with an assault ramp, doesn't need ten thousand weapons like a storm raven. Heck I'd be happy with a rhino analog with just linked shuriken catapults for defense and the ability to assault.

What would your dream eldar unit be?

If the FW Hornet was an actual choice in regular games. I would be all over an Eldar army if I could have awesome tanks in every force org slot.

Of the realistic choices: I'd want the Hornet as well.

Dream choice: an Eldar aspect warrior focusing on stealth, infiltration, and the use of assault weaponry. Essentially, Dire Avengers with infiltrate.

I really need to stay away from the 40K forums.

All right, I'll take the crassus armored assault transport, just put some falcon style swoopy wings on the sides, pull the tracks. Sounds perfect to me.

But will the Eldar have an upgrade option to put their DOOMBREAD in the CRASSUS ARMOURED ASSAULT TRANSPORT to prevent a DOOMPICNIC?

And modifying the CRASSUS ARMOURED ASSAULT TRANSPORT with wings is heresy!

I love the looks of the shadow spectres and the hornets from forgeworld, though I feel like they need to be tweaked just a little before they would be playable without someone saying they were over powered.

Shadow spectres look awesome, but really aren't that great for their points cost.

I second the hornet and the assault transport, it would open up so many more lists.
Also if there was an targetting upgrade(+1 BS) of some sort for vehicles such as WW and Falcons that would be sweet

No idea! The book just mention them, but it was enough to make me curious.

Love the warp spider phoenix lord idea, seen a number of fandex rules for him around on the web, I like the name Lhykosidae that someone came up with.

Fuegen was considered lost for the longest time, there is no reason they couldn't bring another phoenix lord back.

Some sort of cheap drone, hologram decoy or something to bulk up numbers.

It never made sense to me that a dying race is conscripting civilians and making them rights wtih sub-standard equipment.

So a Wraith Cannon Fodder (some sort of crystal skeleton thing) or a holo decoy (guardian cast in tinted clear plastic) would fit perfectly.

Failing that something like the SW Lone wolves for unique loner heroes.

It was the Goto crapfest, although I did enjoy the parts about the Warp Spiders, I think it's called Eldar Prophecy.

This would force me to build an Eldar army, especially if they also got nice models.

err.. I was thinking more along the line of assault rifle. Striking from the shadows with a hail of deadly fire, then melting away again. Not so much stick it to their guts.

I want my existing units to be good before I go for something new. I'd just love a crazy, fast army consisting of huge amounts of spiders or hawks.
But assault transport would help banshees so it gets my vote.

Good things are good,.. so it's good
