What's the best way to convert Razorbacks into the twin linked heavy flamer, assault cannon, or las/plas versions?

You mean physical conversion or tactics - ie which is best? I'd proffer the painting threads for the conversion question and tactis for that question.

Heavy flamers from a Baal predator, attach them to the turret. They have holes already. As for the lasplas, a lascannon from a land raider, plus two plasma guns attached should do the trick. Stick the lascannon on one side, and maybe two plasma gun tips combined with the TL assault cannon body that you get in a DA box set. Cut off the barrels of the AC, attach the plasma, and you have one gun on each side. Should look pretty cool. Add a few ammo packs for effect.

Assault Cannon: buy a Baal predator. Don't put sponsons on it.

Heavy flamer is easy: look for friends who bought a defiler kit, but didnt use the heavy flamers. They even have a pair of convenient holes, wrong size IIRC, but that is easilly fixed.

Assault cannon, same thing, just find people who bought the ravenwing kit. It's a bit more work converting it, but it can be done relatively easilly.

As for the las-cannon twin-plasma.... oi! I am not sure, but I would recommend going and getting the plasma cannon sponsons from the leman russ kit, as well as the las-cannon bit. Im not sure how to do the back-end of the weapon at present, but some sort of armored box, could probably do something identical to the predator sponsons. An alternative to this is to go get the imperial bastion upgrade kit, as it comes with a las-cannon turret. Just mount two modified plasma guns coaxially either side of the las-cannon barrel, with some power feeds going to the back, etc. (Alternatively, get the IG HW las-cannon, and find some method of getting it to do the same thing. This is cheaper but more work to get the roughly same look as the razorback turrets

For the las/twin plasma I've seen people take the lascannon turret, chop off one of the lascannons, and replace it with either two plasma guns or a plasma cannon from the devastator squad set. Twin linked heavy flamer can be done with a flamestorm cannon, converted from either a Baal predator or LRC. The assault cannons can be done either using the assault cannon turret from an LRC (fits in the same hole -they're completely swappable) or converting your own with assault cannons from the Ravenwing or Land Speeder kit.

Actually, I just had a thought:
Grab a predator turret, remove one las-cannon barrel completely, and then either:
a.) place a twin-link plasma cannon pintlemounted on the top hatch;
b.) replace the missing las-cannon with a plasma cannon, or
c.) replace the missing las-cannon with twinned up plasma guns

I actually have a turret to spare... hmm... sadly it has an autocannon on it... oh well, pintle mount it shall be

my thread on doing a las plas razorback.

I definitely like the "old school" Las/Plas Razorback more - the lascannon in the middle of the turret, and one plasma weapon per side.

But, as you should magnetize the turret weapons, putting the plasmaguns on the same side would be easier.

Won't the LR Crusader/Redeemer AC turret fit straight on to a razorback? Not exactly the cheapest way to go, but I'm pretty sure it'll work.

Another thought for the flamers is to go with the sisters' Immolator turrets, but that's not exactly cheap either and would take some work to remove the iconography and stick a marine in there instead of the sister.

Yeah, I like that a lot too. I modelled a LR pintle-mounted multi-melta as a marine stepping out of the top hatch holding a dev's multimelta, and it came out pretty awesome. I can only imagine a las/plas modelled similarly would be the same.

Yep.

'S what I do for my AC razors. Heavy flamer uses the SoB immolator HF set and the regular razor turret mounts (just put the flamers on instead of the HB or las) - but I was buying immolators instead of rhinos (same price) for a while.
