I was want wanting to put metal studs on termie legs like Tyberios the Red Wake has on his armor. Does anyone have any advice, and suggestions on materials? Any help would be most appreciated.

I think for Tyberos style studs, the easiest way would be to find some pins with the right diameter head, clip them short and push them into the legs.

I've heard that if you open up a water filter there are perfect sized carbon spheres that you can easily chop in half and glue on.

Microbeads (look on ebay)! Just drill the start of a hole (so it's an inverted dome) and add a minimal amount of glue and a bead. One container of beads will last you a lifetime.

I've used them on the colar and hip-plates on this:

I like both ideas. I'd probably pre-drill the holes for the pin idea as well (prevent any possible cracking), and they're already a metal texture to boot!

The beead idea is pretty neat as well.

If neither of those is your cup-o-tea (don't wanna drill? don't wanna stab your mini?) I would try doing something with little balls of greenstuff. See how that turns out.

Why is it that only those who have never fought in a battle are so eager to be in one?

Here is another option. They work like water transfers.

Glue. The same white stuff you use to glue rocks and stuff to the base. PVA I think it's called. Put a needle in the end of your pin vice so you can control the amount. It takes a while to dry. If you mess up you can get the clue off fairly easily before painting.

There are 2 options I go with. I either use 1mm steel ball's, or I use plastic rivets that come from a model train company called "Grant Line" Here are some samples of how they both look;

Plastic rivets from Grant Line;

And then the steel ball's;

Different products, different results...

I've used one of those realy cheap ballpoint pens you get from the bank or bookies .
Use a pair of pliers to pull the nib out wash out the ink from it and turn it round and superglue it back in you now have a king of mini cookie cutter .
You now make small balls of green stuff and flatten it to the hight you want the rivet and use the tool (always wet or lubed) and push in to the greenstuff then use a scalpel to remove the "flash" .

You could try these they're a bit pricier than some of the above suggestions but they're dead easy to use and you can get various sizes to suit.
