Entirely hypothetical, and in no way actually really just happened in real life for real:

You play 3 games against a friend, and realize once all is said and done that have been bringing a 2500 point army to what actually turned out to be 2000 point games.

Does it make it worse that you lost two out of those three?

You know whats worse is if the guy thats up 500 points talks total smack and thinks hes the best and looses to 2 of your units haha.

Well I would imagine you discovered what is essentially a difficulty slider. Want the game harder? Use fewer points. Easier? Use more.

Sooooo you basically lost while playing easy mode. Lol.

It sucks to spend 2 hours fighting a battle only to find out that your opponent had more/less points or fethed up on a special rule kinda makes the past two hours feel like a waste of time.

I would just start talking alot of smack sayin the extra 500 made my list weaker...or something...

I'd claim it's proof my book needs an update, or if it was recently updated claim GW screwed it up.

No, seriously, what armies were (hypothetically ) being played? There are some match-ups where that extra 500 points wouldn't much a big difference.

Sometimes you're just outclassed, and more points on the table means more points you're going to give up.

I had that happen to me when my friend started playing, I was 6 months into the hobby and didn't know too much myself. It was to be a 1k game my Orks v his Space Marines He had 2 terminators squads a land raider and a couple tac marines in rhinos. Afterward I went home and looked online at the book and was like WTF! he ended up with about 1.5k so 50% more then my force.

That's just bad form - that's an easy list to notice you're over points.

The real victims here are the poor misunderstood Northmen, just trying to get a fair shake in this cruel world... The stunties are quick to grudge, but where is the book of "our bad"s ... amiright high elves?!?

I played a large game with a few friends and for kicks we wanted to try out harry the hammer.

Since the opposing team was tk and brets against chaos we gave them 700 more points because we took Harry.

Still sort of ended badly for them still.
