I use Reaper's Master Series Skin Tone Triads and love them. Very easy to use and produce wonderful results with several skin varieties like pale, rosy, golden, tanned, or ebony as well as some more exotic varieties.

You'll have to ask Google... I'm on the wrong side of the pond and can't access Reaper's forum while at work. I did the search for you though:

No worries. They're the best I've found for skin tones and make layering very easy. Good luck!

Oh, and welcome to Dakka!

If you are going to use the GW line of paints, you're going to have to mix your paints a little. Tallarn flesh is a great foundation, but can't really be used on its own. if you're going to use elf flesh on top of tallarn flesh, you have to mix the elf flesh a little, otherwise you end up with a very unnatural skin tone. Elf flesh should be mixed with some white/ red and even tallarn flesh before use. Also, bleached bone (used as a highlight) should be mixed with a little elf flesh before use, otherwise you literally get a bleached face for a model.

I create my flesh tone by doing a thin base of dwarf flesh, followed by a thin layer of dwef flesh mixed with white.
I get a blob of dwarf flesh and then keep mixing in white till it matches my own skin tone and then paint on a thin layer, sometimes 2. Then follow that up with a light wash of Gryphonne Sepia.

I've found the washes to leave skin tones looking dirty, which isn't necessarily a bad thing but isn't always the desired result. I do use watered-down Devlan Mud built up in layers as a stubble effect that turns our really nice, though.

Ive found it only looks dirty if you use to much wash. If you thin it down and only paint it on lightly it should come out looking decent. I believe its one of the YMMV things depending on how you do it.

Alex that tutorial was great. Simple yet effective. Im'a give it a go with some marines.

I found this really good article a while back, I think its using GW paints.

If you want to get it done fast, a quick and easy method is to basecoat with Bestial brown, then paint over that with Bleached bone leaving the brown in the recesses. Then hit it with GW's Flesh Wash (old school stuff, you can make it out of Devlin Mud maybe?) and highlight with pure Bleached bone. Makes a pretty natural skin tone.

Tier 1 is the new Tactical.

I start by elf flesh, then elf flesh mixed with skull white for a highlight, and bleached bone for another highlight. For those who want to get models done fast, just dry brush a flesh color appropriate to the model

I paint on either white or beige color and and then use a brown ink to darken it.

I basecoat with bleached bone then use ogryn flesh wash to colour then add shading then balance out the colour a bit by doing a light drybrush of white focusing on the raised edges. After that I add the final highlights with very thin coats of white being careful not to make the flesh look too washed out.
