I was posting a bump to my swap shop thread, which I created on the 26th. It said I was posting within 4 days of the last post (on the 26th). Is there a reason for this?

Probably because the forum code is taking its time stamp from the last time the OP was edited rather than the time stamp with which it was posted originally.

If you look at the small text at the bottom of your post, it says:

This message was edited 3 times. Last update was at 29/Jul/2011 08:01:34 AM

which the forum code rightly calculates to be within 4 days.

As per the Swap Shop rules, you can ignore the warning message as we allow users to edit their OP as much as they like (an edit doesn't bump the thread). Obviously, it does mean a little degree of user interaction is needed; you have to be responsible for your own posts and making sure they are not breaking the bump rules - the forum warning is there as a prompt only.

Ah, I see. Thanks for clearing that up.
