Hello everybody

I was drawing up an army list of nids for my friend when I realised (incorrectly?) that there was no tervoigon model for sale.
Am i blind or is there no (official one).
I f there isn't what parts /kits would you reccomend for a conversion, plus how would i know the size?

There is no official model.
The conversions I have seen are the Mawloc's upper body on a Carnifex's lower body and a Carnifex's head.

I just make a Carnifex with Scything Talons and make him "low" to the ground. Then I put half termagants coming out of its torso.

It's described as spidery IIRC, so use the trygon's torso and make the legs out of sycthing talons, 6 of em like all nids don't forget Other than that, where ever you put the birthing sacks is up to you, just not on the carapace lol

As said, there is no official model yet, after one year, for the most important unit of Tyranids. Classic epic fail.

Still there are options. Most people just add greenstuff to a Carnifex, just browse for Tervigon in painting subforum.
Chapterhouse offers a conversion kit, maybe the best current option:

yea it spretty obsurd that there is no real model for it. the chapterhouse kit looks good though and wou can just kitbash one pretty easily. I was a cool kitbash that actually started out as a soul grinder. then they added copious amounts of greenstuff and nid parts they had.

Why? Considering there's no model, if he so chose he could put it on a 25mm base.

That said, most conversions are based off of Carnifexes, and will use it's 60mm base.

i think GW should do a TERVIGON/TYRANNOFEX kit and a HARPY kit.they should also do a mortrex,doom,and swarmlord upgrade pack.like a sprue with 4 boneswords and the manidibles,extra tail and horn.and also a mycetc spore kit.make the carnifex kit build a c-fex,t-fex,terv,or spore,and then do a harpy.And also a hive tyrant wings sprue so you dont have to by FW ones that look like alien queens out of AVP.

My Tervigon converted from a Carnifex.



A lot of putty was used.

I also did a Tyrannofex using a Carnifex, the Chapter House kit and Forge World rock crushing claws but I don't have a pic.

Not yet, not even a non-GW one.
Only this Epic/Armorcast Exocrine, that was clearly the inspiration for the Tyrannofex (as the malefactor was for the Tervigon):

I actually wanted to use the Malefactors as living 'bunkers' for Planetstrike games...but getting hold of them is tricky.

And don't forget, if you happen to have some...and are looking for T6, 6 wound critters about the same 'bulk' as a Trygon....

Forge World Hierodules. The barbed hierodule easily counts as a T-fex, the Scythed hierodule is easily a Tervigon. Both are about the same bulk as a Trygon and as my Trygons are both FW on the same sized base too (I used CDs )
