I devised a way to make 40k scale Propaganda Posters and newspaper for scenery and basing.

First you need to cut off the foil off of a wine bottle

Then you need to flatten it and prime it with a light color
I used Tamiya

Then you paint a few layers of Denheb Stone until you have a nice even coat.
You then draw a grid on it with the boxes being the size of Newsprint and Posters

Then draw or paint your posters and newsprint
The top six are painted with Chaos Black/Scorched Brown
The bottom six are done with micron pen.
Spray with Matte Varnish when dry

Then use scissors to cut out the pages give them a slight ruffle and you now have great basing and scenery to use for your 40k projects

Wow!, simple and straight to the point, I will definately use this^^

I guess they look better from affar, maybe you could provide a pic of them on your gaming table to see how they blend in the the terrain.

Great tutorial,

Looks pretty good, I imagine if you wanted a older looking paper you could hold normal paper over a flame for a couple of seconds then do the same thing.

Nice stuff, it might work also if you print off some existing posters and past them to the wine cork foil.

If you can get the print small enough that would be the ideal thing to do
But that way it may be possible to use super glue to harden the paper itself and cut out the middle man

Awesome idea. I've used paper and have always questioned its durability on a terrain piece. This looks like it would last a little longer. Thanks for the tut!

Soak the paper in tea then lay it outside. Flame can work, but its risky and takes forever, and you cant really darker tiny parts of paper like you need here.

But use paper that isnt so waxy like copy paper.
