I love the contemptor. What I really love is his pose. I'm sorry to say and yet amused by the fact that it kinda looks like he's tiptoeing through terrain he finds disgusting, like he's saying "ew... this floor is really sticky! Better keep my hands up and ready in case I slip so I don't get my armour gungy! Why did I choose today to wear heels?"
But it's a lovely model in all respects. It has personality, is well painted, and unique. I'm not criticising the pose. I'm actually thinking when I get one now that I might play around with something similar even if it's just for effect!

Inspiring! Your work is just the kind of thing i need to get motivated to work on my projects!! I am really digging the gritty style you got going on the conteptor. Are the infantry getting the same treatment? The marines are all absolutely top notch as they are, the only thing is the Land Raider. I love the old model and its a perfect match with your army but if it was painted up to the same standard as that contemptor ..ooooh.. brother that would look sweet. In any case, keep up the work! This army is such a treat to behold. You really nailed the SofH look. It's a fan's army and the care you took and the fun you are having really comes through. I can't wait to see more.

I see you are making fluff based choices in your modeling and painting and I can respect that, but I really think the landraider model looks subpar. It's a bad model and retro is not always a good thing. Imagine if instead of the insanely awesome contemptor you have done up, you decided to included a rogue trader dread...bleh. I think if you had included a modern raider painted to you contemptor standard it would look better.

I don't know about anyone else but that Mk1 Landraider is nostalgia central!

You mean a full conversion of the Forge World LandRaider so it is a Mk 1.5 instead of a 2

Lookin real good. I think you made a bold choice using so much red, since it can look too strong against the pale green. You've done a nice job of keeping it muffled, though.

Yes is it a conversion from my first SoH army that has withstood the test of time.
I plan to add 5 more termies at some point.

The colors are right on, in my opinion and the MkI Land Raider and Old School Dread round out the army and theme very well.
