Just noticed Forgeworld did a price increase on most models, nothing like GW standard, most stuff went up less than 1GBP, larger kits slightly more.

Maybe this is why there was no weekly update from FW or Warhammer Forge.

If it did happen, they just don't publicize it for fear of a GW style backlash. Do you have any specific examples of the increase?

I think they've just levelled prices off after the vat increase earlier this year , if you notice there less £35.60 and more £36.00

All the doors look like they went up. 0.10, the new mark armor sets went from 20.40 to 21.00. Some of the Titan weapons went from 51.00 to 53.00.

Like I said, nothing major, just small increase. Not the typical 5-25% from gw.

But the trick is it wasn't a 20% spike after changing the resin to barf and calling it higher quality and workmanship (on a ten year old model).

Well at least they're not packaging less models in the same kit for more money. It's not as if the Marine Armour Kits went for 4 Marines for the same previous cost as 5.

Might have something to do with the tumbling European markets and wildly shifting currency exchange rates. A one pound increase across the board is like a 2% increase on most of their items (or .5 on larger ones) Not something that makes a meaningful financial difference.

More because it will inevitably be things like "They're just doing this so they can charge us more! It's stupid!", "WTF Death Korps are expensive enough--why make it MORE expensive?!", "Great, now how am I supposed to get Commissars for my army?!?" and so on.

From my understanding: they had each been their own mould. The big thing is that they sold out far more often of the Commissar holding his pistol than the Tank Commissar or one drawing his sword.

The molds needed to be remastered for them anyways, so they altered them to be one mould and voila.

That would be a very strangely designed flexible resin mold. The only reason to force disparate models together would be to sell through unpopular stock.

Hey, they are GW, if they are part of the same mould, i would never doubt they:

a) sell them without the extra mini (just for the pissing factor)
b) increase the price (for the stock space they will need to keep that extra in the factory)
c) somewhere in the future, they them release a codex where that extra is incredible overpowered
d) they "release" that extra in individual packages, with some impact title (like Superuberfailsafequalitycast) for 5 times the original price of them...

They are a incredible high quality GW, but they are still GW...

Where is everyone seeing the grouped together commissars? I cannot find them anywhere on the site, which is upsetting seeing as I've wanted some : (

As for the OP, they've done 'stealth' price rises in the past to. Roughly 6-8 months ago the Necron Pylon was at 90 before rising to 92.50 and then now I believe it's at 93

They're not on the site right now, as they were pulled to be remastered. They've answered the question multiple times on their Facebook page now.

If the Pylon went up £2.50 6 months ago that's probably the VAT.

Anyway, the the guy with the pistol sells so well, why not make a mould with two copies of him in? Churn them out twice as fast. Instead they foist an unwanted figure into a two-pack with the figure everyone does want. Okay.

I think the guy drawing his sword looks bad ass I dont know why he isn't as popular

Difficult to convert to another pose. If you buy in multiples just how many guys pulling swords out of a scabbard do you want?

Well from what they've said on FB the new set will be one Commissar (the one standing at ease) one Commissar 2 (drawing his sword) and one Commissar Tank Commander. Makes sense personally, you need multiple Commissars anyway so why not.
