Haradrim Warriors before and after washes

Those Haradrim look great after the wash (they looked good before as well).

What was the wash? Brush applied?

Oops, wasn't just a wash. I used bonewhite on the robes as base color.

The wash is what I usually use, Vallejo Sepia.

Yeah, I use a brush. I applied the wash to the bone colored robes, to the brown parts (including
any visible skin), and to any shiny metal parts.

I <3 Sepia Washes. I might have to get to grips with the Vallejo version...

What other sepias do you use?

Titan getting worked up and over. For some reason, I can't get the color balancing
right. The third color on this black and gold elephant is purple, but it always turns out
looking too bluish.

Haha, it's actually supposed to be verdigris. Too bad I didn't intend glass.

The Ogrun with what looks like a beer is holding a mallet. I think it'll be clearer as I post the
pics in the upcoming couple weeks.

I think that's the Sepia wash pooling over everything. This picture was taken while the
model was still wet. I ended up painting the ale green for contrast.

Karmans are my favorite. I haven't been sold on the rest of their line yet. Maybe the Oni will
be good.

I primed them with black gesso, except I probably should have thinned it.

Malfred, may i ask how you thin down your vallejo game colors?

i like the smooth colors you're getting.

Oh no, i didnt mean the paint is thick ( doesnt look thick to me)

Was just curiouse to how people deal with their at-43 when they repaint it , since im considering too.

Which colors?

Some of them are VGC, some rare few are VMC, and some are Reaper Master's. I use
the Vallejo Glaze Medium to cut my paints and that seems to help. I'm not sure if it's
supposed to and maybe it's psychological, but I like it.

Trust me, there are clumps where I didn't thin out the Gesso enough and so the stuff
pooled up and clumped.

Thanks. I use it for pretty much everything these days.

Circle stuff painted. The Druids have a black scheme provided by Albinoork, and the grey/orangey
look to the warbeasts reflects stuff I've seen around the net.

Just reading through the earlier posts and this annoyed me so much. So, someone who doesn't understand the primary-school basics of the colour wheel, is giving colour advice... and wrong colour advice at that.
Opposite and complimentary colours... yeah that'd be orange and blue then.
Purple and yellow; red and green; orange and blue. Someone really knows their colour wheel! I think you learn it at about your first year in school. Degree level art it is not.

Your work looks much better with washes on man. Good work.
I can't help but think they are rather shiny, are you gonna dullcoat them?

Do you paint without an undercoat? Some of your earlier stuff looked that way.
