The only game I would have gotten a PS3 to play was MGS4. I just watched all the cutscenes on youtube instead.

I watched my wife play it and there seemed to be about 5 minutes of playing, then an hour of cut scenes (rinse and repeat).

I think it was about four solid hours of cutscenes.

Honestly even though I'm a huge fan of X-box and the games that come out for it I HATE how bad it is when it comes to breaking down. I'm on my 4th console because there has either been something wrong with the fan or with the tray gears or the disk scanner. I love it, but hate it at the same time.

Earlier in the thread I asked if there was a rank cap for players who don't play X-Box live. I can now say that there isn't because I have just reached Commander Grade 1.

The rank cap was removed awhile ago (By that, I mean last week I think). Do you never hook your X-Box? If your xbox is never hooked up to Live, I gotta say, that's a rather big programming bug there Bungie

I know that it was removed. But no I've never done X-box live, and I woulden't put it past the. Most games these days aren't about the game itself it's about the multiplayer so there is alot that can't be done unless you play Live.

My advice is not to take Reach online if you want to keep earning credits offline. There are limits that come into play once you go online that you can't remove. For example, there are only so many credits you can take online; anything over that limit is lost. And there is also a limit to how many credits you can earn offline before going back online. To get around this, I think you would have to make a new account to go online with.

You could also just find a way to spend all your credits before going online. That's what I did. There's plenty of stuff to burn credits on.

Now just because I don't have Live dosen't mean I haven't played Live. I just have never wanted to do it myself.

No no no. I just think that's a rather obvious bug (EDIT: then again maybe it's not a bug). You'd think they'd catch something like that. I never intended to question you. That the rank was supposed to be locked but apparently isn't. Weird.

I really don't see why it would be locked if you'd never gone online. They would just be consigning every player without an internet connection to the bottom ranks.

I figured as much. I just assumed it would be locked in the initial game. Appears that they lock it only after you log onto Live for the first time... Which would explain other things...

See when I had the question it got me to wondering if you could still buy the items that come with the credit amount you just didn't earn the actual rank.

Trying to Solo Legendary atm, only got to the second level so far, but i am going to fight my way there even if it takes ages.

Can't get over how much I'm loving this game, taken a few weeks off from it, and straight back in.

Is it bad if you constantly call UNBC (University of Northren British Columbia) the UNSC?

Ya know I played the game on Normal before I played on Legendary and when I played I had almost every skull on. And then when I got to Legendary without skulls it was easier then I thought it would be.

Oh by the way does anyone know a way where you can play straight through campaign without having to select each mission one right after the other?

Surely if you just select "campaign" at the start?

I played through the first few missions in coop when I first got it without having to go in and out... but when I came to play it on my own afterwards, I had to keep choosing the missions as well, which was quite annoying. I seem to recall I went "main menu" then "campaign" when I played through myself though...

Also, if you have scoring turned on, it will only play single missions. I'm pretty sure that without scoring it should just continue to the next mission.

I found this realy funnah easter egg on the "New Alexandria" lvl.
You now the last jammer,the one that when you activate it the buggers come out? Go on to the balcony and turn right. You'll find a UNSC trooper debating wether to shoot himself or not. LOL.
Do this BEFORE you destroy the jammer. It's real awesome.
