you are forced to eat your food outside the library by an irate librarian but when you are finished he allows you entry, you walk between massive columns of book selfs upon shelfs of sacred texts achitectural papyrai and other unique documents

i try another one but this one is aimed to the master of the arms in the fortress the only person who may get into the masters private quarters without asking.

(Iliad) Your blade smashes through the crown of the Ataani's skull, blood bone and brain matter mixing with the steel of your sword, the earthen barriers around you crumble as their controller dies.

(Silentsong) (Im sorry brother he is in a time of deep meditation, i dont know why he isnt answering? this should be the time when he is most attuned)

(Silentsong) a panicked reply comes back, (im trying to but im not getting anything and his doors are barred from the inside,)

(Silentsong) a thought of affirmation comes through, then silence for a time, the next thoughts that come through are slightly shakey, (hes fine.... i think, but whatever hes doing.. i dont know, ive never seen.....) then silence

Ranun trembles slightly as beholds the scene. He walks up the group of robed men and bows his head in respect to them.

(Silentsong) no reply comes to you through a haze of disjoined feelings, you begin to search the books in the library for???

(Ranaun) The garnd master touches you on the shoulder gently requesting that you rise, as you do so he aknowleges those who fought beside you in battle briefly and then he looks directly at you, a searching gaze that you cannot evade, even if you had wanted to, then he relents, "You have done a great service to the sepucture today Satyr, we wish to bestow this armour upon you, and this relic of the church. The mace of Luminos.

The clerics walk forwards unveiling the piece of armour that each is holding, the first is a white helm with an arching muzzle to allow for your facial structure, the other pieces of armour reflect the fact that the suit was built specifically for a satyr, but you refuse to accept that it could have been made today, suits of this quality take weeks usually. Once fully unveiled the suit is magnificant, built to cover every inch of a satyrs body barring his hooves, the white sleek plate has been well crafted and appears to shimmer in the light, you know implicitly that it is a valuable gift. Then the mace is unveilded by a supremely old paladin at the rear of the company, its 3 quaters of a metre long haft are etched with runes of battle and smiting and of the banishment of the undead, the 3 spires that arch from its tip spread out gracefully and then meet about a foot up, between them is a swirling ball of light that sends small arcs of lightning playing over the haft.

i will be searching for hints about the small thingies in the wall so i can find out whats behind them.

oh right of course

(silentsong) You pour over achitectural records and accounts of the architects who built this place and slowly you begin to piece together a map of tunnels and alcloves bearing sacred texts that runs throughout the fortress

i put the plans in my robes hiding them so nobody can see what i did.

you search through the texts but no reference can be found on how to actually OPEN the cursed things

(Silentsong) the Librarian hobbles over, "Hmmmm scholar are we? Over there my young brother, you will find the old tomes, those of the first founding of our religion."

(Silentsong) The accounts in the books startle you, shamless tales of the dark age of religion seem to leap out of the page at you, humanoid sacrifice, genocide in the name of Phobos, millions of monsters slaughtered in mass hunts, hundreds of billions of undead destroyed in wars of scale to epic to fully recount, at the bottom of each page in one of the volumes, a slim volume however, no more than 120 pages, but at the bottom of each page there is an arrow, and the first set when you write them all down together look like this: >V><<^><V>>^<><>^^<V^V><>^<V>><^><

you realise that this is some form of hidden way of opening the chambers as reference is given to them in the tome

there are many more pages of the arrows but nothing else significant appears

i ask the librarian what these arrows could mean.

the librarian hobbles over and shrugs, "I have no idea my son, this library is more aincient than any of us can recall, most of the tomes here are not yet catalouged"
