If you want a TAG for Ariadna or not isn't really a debate, they will eventually come since there is a rule in place specifically for them. What they will look like is very debatable and will rely heavily on what the Tractor's look like since they will be a glimpse of what Ariadna's "tech" looks like.

True, it would be interesting to know how the Tractor will look. The closest they have go about Ariadna's technology is a comic strip in the rulebook, depicting some helicopters. This choppers are like a more modern version of MI-24.

The Ariadna T.A.G. should look at *best* like a bad walker from D.U.S.T.

A light tank top or armored box with some construction bot legs welded on bottom and a fat gun mounted on top or in the chin with possibly smaller gun/s on the side/s.

Maybe even like an AT-ST from Star Wras or ED-209 from Robocop.

Bulky, ugly, and barely functional that still gets the job done.

I'd be OK with that as well.

But seriously - a tank would be unique and, given how they pretty much knock everyone out of the park, a fantastic sculpt too!

T.A.G. (Tactical Armoured Gear)
Archaic T.A.G.s are not susceptible to be hacked as they are so old that they do not possess the advanced cybernetic systems required to allow an effective computerised interference.

Based on these two items I would assume that it won't be a tank as in conventional terms because that doesn't really fit the feel of the term TAG. Based on the description of an Archaic T.A.G. it would have to be controlled via a control panel or steering mechanism. The assumption I come to is a upright standing bulky suit with a cockpit full of controls. I would rest assured though that it'll be slow, heavily armored, and packed to the gils with devastating weapons.

The statline will probably look something like...


Ariadna Archaic TAG Autocannon, Katyusha MRL (or Uragan MRL), Heavy Flamethrower

That was posted by another member in the Ariadna tag discussion thread. With the exception of a fully armored and enclosed cockpit for the pilot, I could see that is what Ariadna's tag could look like.

Something that doesn't exposure the pilot's head to special ammunition delivered via sniper rifle would be nice!

I'd like to think the Ariadnans use cobbled together or retrofitted kit from other factions. Their recent engineer model has something along the lines of "Due to the lack of high technology in Ariadna, they have developed a clinical eye for recognizing pieces of useful material amidst the spoils of battle. Ariadnan troops have standing orders to minimize damage caused to enemy materiel, so that the Dozers can make use of parts and technology suitable for Ariadnan systems."

H Arm suit FTW. I could totally see that, though Heavy Machine gun and Autocannon would be a bit... redundant.

That HARM suit is a bit nice. Needs bigger feet, though.

The SAS is gorgeous, but the Kurgat has a honking awesome cannon.

If the sky-dropping jump-jetting Garuda Tactbot can run around with a one-handed Heavy Machine Gun, why does the Daikini Tactbot need to brace its arm. Seems odd, but these are the only complaints I can have against Infinity these days.

Nope, still not a fan of the big chubby Eva, but the SAS guy is seriously nice. The painting on the Kurgat is a bit all right as well...

I'm going to get one or two of the new TAGs for my Yu Jing, the SAS man may make it into my guard army "as counts" as Marbo.

Love 'em all, and happy that I 'only' have new purchases in line for my Combined, Haqqislam and ALEPH factions!

This is boring I mean every month I love everything Sold on jing and very impressed with the combined guy.

Unlike the rest of you, the SAS guy seems a bit boring to me. I'll eventually buy for my army LOL but it's not exactly what I would have expected.

The other minis are great the Kurgat is badass, the Asawira fits perfectly with the older Asawira and the bots look very nice too.

They don't have huge robots, they don't have snazzy power armor, etc.

They do practical--not silly.

Jaw-dropping stuff, I'm excited about the Aleph stuff that's coming they are looking to be an impressive range. I wish I could paint to even 10% of that standard though

While I know the point you're trying to make, I still think Ariadna's got some snazzy stuff:

Ariadna has mega power armour according to the big rule book, expect it to be clunky and low tech, as it weighs twice as much in comparison to the armoured juggernauts of other factions.
