The ending was a tad predictible but was good
Also watched the last episode of Kino's Journey. Was well worth the trip!
Must look out for the two films.

Started watching Blood C. Slow start in the first couple of episodes but looks like things could be about to pic up.

Neither sadly. Totally different story about a shrine maiden.
Although she is the only one who can kll the "old ones" who prey on humans with a sacred sword. Sound familiar?

Blood + was pretty good imho

If looks could kill...
But seriously, The voice actor in the dub, really has the right voice for this bit, it is so better than the sub, and I normally prefer the subs.

In my cave, lying down and waiting for you...

Well recently I have gotten into two anime series. Hellsing and Legendz.

Hellsing is, well... brutal. Its really atmosrpheric and beautiful (also gory ). I love the story and the characters in it.
Spoiler:

Legendz is just so random and fun to watch . The start is slow, but later in the show everything gets more and more crazy And dragons with pony tails FTW.

If you like hellsing, check out the 1 hour OVA's for it.

I think they are up to 8 episodes... WAY, WAY better than the anime serires...

one of the best scenes from that series :
Spoiler:

I have recently been watching Durarara!! and I'm surprised that its actually interesting. The first 5 or 7 episodes were really boring since they were essentially background information episodes with some new events thrown in. I don't like how the show feels too much like a novel though. Hopefully the last 10 episodes (I'm on 15 atm) are good because everything has been building up pretty well.

While Durarara was good, if you're finding that interesting, I'd highly recommend Baccano, which was made by the same people, before they went on to make Durarara, and I consider it the better series. It shares a lot of similarities in style - both series are primarily character driven and consist of multiple intersecting stories rather than a single narrative, but while I found Durarara dragged on a bit at times, Baccano told what I found to be a more interesting story in a much tighter fashion - it was only 13 episodes, half the length of Durarara, plus three more released as an OVA, and told nearly as much story, with never much of a dull moment.

Interestingly, Baccano doesn't tell everything in chronological order, but rather jumps between three consecutive years when different parts of the character's stories where happening:
1930: Mafia fighting and sets up how the series main feature (which I won't spoil) came to be, as well as eventually what happened to Dallas Genoard (see below)
1931: The events of the last journey of the train known as the Flying Pussyfoot (the majority of the story is focused here - this was one crazy train ride)
1932: The search for the missing Dallas Genoard, and some of the characters combining their knowledge of what's happened to piece together more of what really went on in 1930 and especially in 1931 on the train.

While that might seem overwhelming at first, each time the series jumps to another timeline for wee bit it tells you which year you're in, and if you pay a little attention early on you get used to it surprisingly quickly due to the differences in what goes on in each year. The way the story is told allows the series to be building up to something awesome you'll see later (which may have actually happened earlier in the timeline in some cases), while telling an exciting and action-packed part of someone else's story at the same time.

In addition, Baccano, similar to Durarara, but I think to an even greater extent has no main character, rather there are around 18 characters who could all be considered "main", and while again that might seem confusing, the series does a really good job of getting you to grips with who's who, which of the timelines they're active in, and the relationships between each of them.

It's one of the best series I've seen at telling a compelling story in an interesting way and fleshing out many characters at once, it does it in half the number of episodes of many series who manage such things only half as well, and on top of that, it does in with style.

For an example of said style, and a glimpse at most (but not all) of the main characters, check out the opening: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Msg8ypnLqaw. (yes, the series will help you get to grips with all those people in reasonably short order, and you'll care what happens to most, if not all, of them - although in some cases not because you like the but because you want to see them come to a nasty end, and the series certainly has some of those).

Just started Gatchaman. I was a G-Force fan when I was younger so it's interesting to see the differences. The mistress loves Hentai now for some reason so we've gone through a few, Bible Black and Armored Knight Iris being the most noteworthy. If you want to see some really, really jacked up gak watch Oppai Heart: Kanojo wa Kedamono Hatsujouki!? (incest. lots of incest) or Kowaku No Tori (beastiality ftw?...).

...Just saying, this is what anime have you recentally watched, not what hentai have you recentally watched, if you want to discuss hentai, make a seperate thread, and I will join in, with relish (all kinds)
EDIT: I might just do that actually

Don't know about the later seasons, but man the first was filled with subliminal sex messages.

I've watched a fair few anime, my three favourite probably being Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and One Piece.

Recently watched Steins Gate which I thought was a very well made anime, also watched Chaos Head which I didn't like as much.

Two new anime this season which show a lot of promise are Mirrai Nikki and Guilty Crown. Guilty Crown reminds me a lot of Code Geass which is a good thing.

Just finished watching Kaze no Stigma, only to learn that there'll never be a second season because the author croaked. Planning on digging up his corpse later to yell at him.

Saw Angel Beats a little while ago, very well done. One of those that you really want to watch after the credits of the last episode, or you get a real "Dark Tower" vibe to the ending.

Currently watching Fruits Basket (excellent, good pick for cooling off after something like Requiem for a Phantom or Fate/Stay Night), and When They Cry (not a good pick for cooling off after something like those two).
