Well I can say whats holding me up at the moment is the tracks...
I'm wondering if I can mold them or if I have to scratch build them tread-by-tread...
I wouldn't mind scratch building them and it would give it more of a personal feel. But I don't and won't have the time for that in the forseeable future with the final semester about to start..
4.5 weeks to design a house from scratch with all the technical drawings..
I'm looking forward to it all tho.
And am hoping to get that beautiful creation done soon.
I'll post some picks of my plans soon!

sorry my post came in between...but now after reading yours above i say...try to make up a plan for the treads...that is something i want to see... also maybe you can enlighten us with how to tackle planmaking for a tank... i recently downloaded blender and i have skecthup from google but i never really got the hang of it...but would love to know more how to use it...

I thought it wasn't all that good....
But some people like it. And it's free. So I can't judge them.

well from sketchup i never could get the shapes i wanted to make ... i wanted to desgin my first tank by this prog...failed utterly...
with blender...well i have to install it... and then i can tell^^
free was the part that i liked the most too^^

I like free stuff. No money = love free...
However I am lucky enough to still have the program that my school had given me. And it still works. So I don't have to work with blender.
