After the lack of effort shown in the WAAAGH! Ghazghkull supplement I'm wary of how they'll redo the Black Legion and Crimson Slaughter supplements. Chances are the relics will stay exactly the same and the formations will maybe have 1 or two decent auxiliaries but they're forced to take overpriced and model-heavy cores which spam CSM/Possessed in return.

Also, hot damn I guess they're doubling down on that SM love, 4 new psychic power sets and a new supplement book? That loyalist favour man.

Considering most of what's listed in the description for the "Angels of Death" codex supplement seems to be the stuff from Sentinels of Terra, Clan Raaukan, and the two SM detachments in Kauyon I wouldn't say there was too much "favouring" going on.

Sad Panda posted we wont see a complete overhaul of the CSM Codex and model range, so this is most likley it until plastic Rubrics at the end of 2016 or early 2017. Maybe with Warzone: Fenris II. SP and Atia gave several hints

Read the rumor dates for those. They're old/debunked. For whatever reason they put new rumors in an old thread.

So let's see how they manage to make CSM even worse. I am so dreading this release...

I think CSM should get formations that use a lot of 3+ guys, not cultists. Hellbrutes should also get some formations, might also include one or two in the core. Oh, and offcourse some Possesed.

I just saw Veil of Time. That discipline will definitely find it's way into my Librarius, especially if it comes with Null Zone or something silly like that as well.

Drybrush a Space Marine? Heresy!!!!

In all my years in the hobby, I've never heard of anybody drybushing a space marine. Smooth armour plates and clean lines make for an easy painting experience IMO, even for an average painter like me.

Why would you need to drybrush? Why?

WTF

Dry brushing Space mariens works if your name is Iron Warriors. It's like painting necrons.

I usually drybrush highlights if I'm doing a wash/glaze over it because I'm lazy.

I'm not sure how new all these powers are considering these are the grey knights, dark Angels, blood Angels and space wolves psychic trees that were already released. Aka interomancy etc.

I wonder how much new content is going to be in there? Just gathering up all the rules put out in odd places might make it worth picking up though.

These powers are chapter specific so not sure which chapter veil of time belongs too.

If anything there will be slightly spruced up with 7th and maybe add a few new formations and stuff in there.
And yes I'm glad about the packaging of most formations in a single supplement book

"...Skyhammer..."

And lo, the argument about whether you had to buy a limited edition bundle to play this is SOLVED.

And the NEW slapping match begins about having to own the Codex Supplement...

Negative, on spikey bits the white dwarf picture says that any marine chapter, including DAngels, BA, SW and such can all use them.

Should read up, son!

I have always owned and brought whatever codex or supplement was needed for my army and insisted that my opponent have their's available. I'm fine with photo copies of specific pages rather than a whole book.

Or is your concern that having a print out, copy, or original of the old Skyhammer might not be allowed? If they are the same, I can't see why no one would let you.

Anyone taking odds on if Skyhammer gets nerfed when they print it?

As soon as rules have been published they are ready to be used. It doesnt matter in which format you have them at your table. Or if it was printed out or is available as a picture on a mobile. Not solved before?

Doubt it. I imagine most of it will be a copy and paste job, with a few new things like the psychic powers.

Take a look at the actual ad for the powers.
http://forum.spikeybits.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=6413&stc=1

The "new" psychic trees are geomancy, fulmination, librarius, and technomancy.

Good point, so they actually mean brand new for Codex: Space Marines instead?!

Did anyone post the new boxed sets for both SM and CSM? No new models I think but new configurations. Also rerelease of CSM Black legion and Crimson slaughter books

Well I guess that solves the whole sky hammer pay to win debacle. Good to see chaos getting some love too, hope they get a nice fluffy and powerful decurion.
