I think it's in the sense that Chaos Legions use Daemons in their armies, and that the split created back with the 'Chaos' Codex in 4th Ed was artificial, borne of corporate meddling more than any in-universe reasoning.

That would justify the statement "All Traitor Legions fight alongside Daemons to some degree in the fluff"

Not "the Death Guard are currently an amalgamation of Daemons and Marines in the fluff"

Perhaps he was referring to the more twisted and mutated ones?

Even so, that would be more a unit (Possessed Plage Marines) than a representation of the whole Legion.

No, it would make the "Death Guard" faction, where you can take daemons and marines together. The Death Guard currently are am amalgamation of deamons and marines in the fluff, so it makes sense.

Really? Because I read pretty much every piece of Death Guard background I can get and I've never seen anything stating that they're "currently an algamation of Daemons and Marines", at least not any more so than any other Traitor Legion.

[citation needed]

Okay the Death Guard themselves are marines, but they are constantly accompanied by demons, so it would make sense for them to have them in army lists.

And for the record, this is about death guard, this thread, so that is why I am talking about them. I am not saying other legions and warbands shouldn't be able too.

Thanks H.B.M.C. that is exactly what I mean

Death Guard are not just rotten CSM, thanks to the warp plague turning them into slime dudes in an instant. So a pedant could argue that they indeed are an amalgation of SM and Nurgle demon (virus)

I like the slowly turning Marines more, though. I will do some defectors from other bands or the Imperium that rotted on their own merrit and some less-rotten DG members. If a multi-part kit does get released (getting stressed about the whole starter thing, it could mean no kits or after MONTHS of waiting) I hope it builds both mutated monsters and a bit downtrotten Marines with Pickelhaube, plague knives and bayonets. Blightkings sorta do just that with armoured and openly festering upper bodies to chose.

If the drone is indeed in the starter and gets a kit unlike Deffkoptas, that would be our "three man sorcercerer" kit, yes? So beasts would probably be with a hypothetical demons release. What else does 40k Nurgle need in your guys opinion? I'd say Vile Savants! The GSC are halfway there with their gear looking a bit like space suits. Maybe Slime Hounds. Fantasy can have Pestigors.

Looking for a Skaven Doomwheel banner to repair my Nurgle knights.

Call me conservative but I think they need to get out beasts of Nurgle, Epidemius and a Great Unclean One/ Kugath in plastic first . I'd assume updated Beasts of Nurgle could include an additional beast or different kinds of them at least, possibly even riders like in early editions (though that would make them quite similar to Drones and toads). We've seen models that could Zombies and/or Cultists so far, so that's already settled.
Some artillery would be nice I guess, as daemons only have the grinder and CSM only have forgeworld for that.
There was also fluff about suicide-bomber Nurgle-Orks. Now that could make for some crazy models .

Aside from the horns bursting out of the armour that guy looks pretty much like what you wish for, so I think with some minor work you should be able to build 'just a little bloated and rusted marines'

Playing mostly Necromunda and Battletech, Malifaux is awesome too!

Why Aye Ya Canny Dakkanaughts!

Not sure if anyone has already asked about this but what weapon do you think this termi is carrying?

It doesn't really look like any weapon I have seen before on a cataphractii or normal terminator however it does remind me of something, I just can't think of what that something is. Are there any guesses as to what it might be, whether it is something that already exists in game or if it is something new?

I can see DG getting a three-man squad of specialist terminators (sold in packs of three, expandable) - Terminators have always been a DG thing and we have two sets of specialist 30K terminators that could make the transition to 40K

If this same terminator set is included in the starter then it would fulfil the description of having "A few terminators" without having to include a 5-man set

No idea on the weapon, maybe something new?

I know it might be a bit of a long shot, but I just hope that alongside this release we finally get a plastic Palanquin model.

I don't care who is sitting on it - whether it be a Sorcerer, Lord or something else entirely - but it'd be nice to have one that isn't resin & being ridden by Epidemius.

Yeah, and the background guy looks even better from the little blurry shape one can see. I like the super-disfigured bloat boys, too, it's just that the path to this final form should be slow, agonising and filled with false hope. Like Fantasy Nurgle warriors, not Blight Kings where it is "wake up after fly crawls into you and see a 9 foot heap of puss and tentacles in the mirror" or the Destroyer hive showing up and turning the whole legion into blobs real quick.

PS: I see that nobody else wants undead evil astronaut MD scientist demons. Too bad

PPS: For some reason the Termi makes me think autocannon or flamer with gargoyle mouth, but we do have that Plague Marine with the strange (heavy?) weapon in one piece of art, so maybe new stuff? Plague thrower? Fumespewer? Old-school grav-gun?

The terminator will most likely be carrying some new weapon - that's the MO with new models these days, everything gets at least one new thing. Probably some kind of chem flamer would be my guess.

Actually, I don't give my Firewarriors shoulderpads. I tried once to put two to the sargeant and it looked awfull

It make them look more... small and fragile. Thats how I like to see my Tau's

Guy on the left is ace, the one on the right needs a different head. Easy enough. The backpack is my favourite part, I don't like regular Mk3 backpacks.

Good summary IMO, I kind of like the more mutated head. Though I have 21 PMs already with FW kit..

I am just relieved that the aesthetic is almost the same as the FW marines, so they should slot in easily to my current Death Guard, just with some being more mutated.
