So, as dice is 99.9% of warhammer, I thought we should all show what we use as dice. Personally I use GW's default black, white and red dice as well as a batch of Storm of Magic dice. After seeing a video on MWG about how GW and chessex's dice were rigged, I think I'll have to trash them. I've litterally had a 50% ratio of rolling 1's when it came to wounding with dual meltaguns or something and now I know why.

I use two sets. The almighty GW warhammer 40k dice shown below:

The skull isn't GW btw. I found it in a LGS in Basel, you know, one of those small shops in which you can find all manner of old and wonderful models.

Yes, we all know why you have that feeling, and we all know that it has nothing to do with the dice.

I sometimes feel like posting my dice.
Just need the address of a good torturer of regular solids that will slowly and painfully reduce the to their constituent atoms!

I use the same as the above, been meaning to get around to ordering some custom ones but never get around to it.

Same as the two above me ^^ Two of those actually, as I play orks and love having loads of dice on the table when I play.

Yes, we all know why you have that feeling, and we all know that it has nothing to do with the dice.

You think GW's dice is perfectly even? Even looking at it you can tell its not. As long as you are digging into the dice or altering the physical form by any means without doing it evenly, it'll cause the dice to roll unevenly.
But you knew this... right?

Also, storm of magic.. something about the weight of the pips on the dice that cause extremely unbalanced rolling. Someone told me that it was a bit "biased" when rolling so I picked up 2 batches. Now I'm rolling like a champ. Literally seize 40% of my games with them assuming I lost the roll off.

I personally ordered custom dice from Chessex to commemorate starting Space Wolves.



People complain constantly about them, because they seem to tend to roll high on a near-constant basis (Or I'm just really lucky with them). I recall one time when we rolled a theoretical set of shots from a few Eldar units, and he rolled 26 wounds on my four Wolf Lords. They passed every single one on a 2+ save.

Edit: And to the left that's the dice bag I use to carry them around in. It's a chainmail bag that I bought from Think Geek, and is mainly used to protect the dice from the above people

I use the blue dice cube dice and those big admech ones GW did a while back

I use Dakkadakka's own dice.

I have a pretty good set, I seem to always roll a 6 for deployment/first turn.

Oh, and I use dollar store dice, because I'm a cheapo. Of course they roll terribly. Hmm maybe I should stop being sooo cheap...

I'm eager to see how your army looks

I have a plastic sandwich container filled most of the way up with GW dice of various colors. I did notice that the 5 colors they come in are the same 5 main colors that MtG cards come in. ^_^ Black, White, Green, Red, Blue.

Usually I have trouble distinguishing the black dice from the blue dice at a glance. Maybe I need better lighting where I play.

I use custom ultramarine dice and "3++ is the new black" dice along with a few GW specialty dice.

Although these are surrounded by former Warhammer bits, these are my current dice. I also have blue and green versions of these I use exclusively for my Orks. The Dakka Dakka side being the six.

My dice collection span many editions and game systems

3rd Edition 40k
BFG
and now 5th Edition 40k

I have Dakka Dice, with smaller regular chessex dice in the same colors as the DD.

I drill holes in small cheese blocks everytime I play, and use them as dices

I have the bigger chessex dice, and love them. I use to use the smaller ones, but found that the bigger ones feel like they will do more damage. The results tend to agree.

The corners in the photo look to have been cut quite deeply, but in person they don't look nearly as excessively trimmed; either that or my set are older and they decided to cut the newer ones down more.
