...they fall back again immediately?

Did a search for this ruling and didn't find anything, but it came up at 'ard Boyz this weekend when a couple of BA deathstar DoA units failed their Ld10 tests and I had the chance to use successive shocks from my grav tanks to run them off the table.

Units that are falling back automatically fail morale tests. So once they start falling back, you can keep tank shocking them and they have to keep falling back every time?

The one exception, of course, would be if you assault them, because the rule specifies that they test morale when assaulted. But I can't find any limitation on the number of fallback moves that a unit makes during the movement phase.

You are correct, they'll keep falling back whenever you tankshock them.

Yeah there is nothing wrong with this, but Eldar and perhaps Blood Angels are the only ones that can really do it reliably.

If orks think they can tank shock you, they can. Also reinforced ram.

killed off my warboss with that whaagh roll. :( Not that he was doing anything with 1 W left and never making his 4+ save or his Feel No Pain, bad rolling day.
To help stay on topic, even though it was adressed already, I just want to say, I wish I thought of doing this a long time ago. Tank shocking spam against Marines before they automatically re-group is an awesome idea. Thank you for this post.
