Going through some codexes,I had a thought,what armies are best to use against Grey Knights?

In this case,I said Tyranids,with Shadow in the Warp,and other Grey Knights,with the fact they arte deadly to psykers.


What armies are weak against what?Let's here your thoughts.

Grey Knights are good against any Marine list. Power weapons everywhere that hit before I4 due to halberds or whatever really ruins Marines' days. GK will have a hard time with IG because of the sheer amount of long range high strength and low AP weapons.

Dark Eldar have a pretty good time fighting Marines due to the amount of darklance fire they can put out, and the number of wounds from poisoned weapons. They have a harder time with Orks because they don't usually have enough splinter fire to take them all out. Same could be said for Nids, but their darklances can kill all the synapse really easily, and TMC's go down like chumps to splinter fire.

Tau are weak against anything stronger than a stiff breeze in close combat, as are Necrons. Almost every single army has a distinct advantage over Marines (Usually a Marine-killing unit, whether it's mass darklances, battle cannons, or what have you) and Necrons share those weaknesses, with the added detriments of less mobility, fewer models, and fewer options.

Grey Knights kill everything.
EVERYTHING.

I run a Salamanders list that's pretty rockin' against Grey Knights. Lots of meltas so I can break open that terminator armor. I use a librarian-sternguard combo as well, so I have the means to shut down their big psykers. Of course, Necrons clean my clock every time, but that's a different story.

Imperial Guard. They don't care about force/power weapons, S5 storm bolters aren't that much scarier than normal bolters, and there's fewer dudes in GK armies than most marine lists and they die just as easily to multilaser/battlecannon/plasma fire as any other marine, making it easier to burn through them. IG basically don't care about all the cool advantages that GK's get over normal marines that make them very powerful against such armies, and the reduced numbers make it easier for IG to shoot the GK's down.

They're also an army against which GK's get to use just about all their advantages quite effectively.

Generally, if it's *really* good against marines and is elite-ish in nature (DE, GK's) it'll have a terrible time with enemies like Imperial Guard and Green Tide orks, though the reverse isn't necessarily true.

GK does fairly well against Guard just due to their Psyriflemen dreads, Psycannon spam and Hammerhand in h2h. But the basic units aren't really that effective. We're talking S6 multilasers vs. AV11 Razorbacks, versus S6 Psibolt Razorbacks vs. AV12 Chimeras. Meh...

I played a Psykerspam henchmen list at 'ardboyz that was putting out 6 high S large blast templates per turn, had a couple Psiriflemen, and some other nasty gribblies. It was unique but it got pwned pretty hard.
