This may be a stupid observation, but I don't see any of the Ogre Ironguts on the GW website. Does this mean new models for these guys. Was looking to pick up some older battalions when I could find em, but didn't want to get old Ironguts if they're going to be re-released. Anyone heard anything?

Ironguts could be getting new models, but that's highly unlikely as we've already received the leaks of the new Ogres models.

This situation is most likely GW's failure to keep maintenance of their website and can be left at that

yeah, sounds about right. I'm sure it's just some sort of accident, as they're already pretty good looking plastics. Now....just to find some Ogre Battalions....

Far from 'most likely', since your just throwing out a bad guess.

They are getting rid of the current style of boxes and going back to ones that show the painted models on the front, not an illustration. They let some thing go OOS if they run out of the old box while waiting for the print run of the new one. They'll be back out when the new range hits first part of next month.

....and lo!.....The Age of Sigmar came to an end when Saint Veetock and his hamster legions smote the false Sigmar and destroyed the bubbleverse and lead the true believers back to the Old World.

Do you know this as a matter of fact? The daemon releases all still have the illustrated covers. What would the reason be for the "new" releases to have the "old" box covers?

I don't know what Daemon releases you are looking at. I was at the store today and all the daemons I saw had painted models on the covers of the boxes.

My guess is maybe they are going to one box bulls/ironguts. Not sure why they would still have the bulls there still though. Time will tell.

Er...they're plastic.
More importantly, they're just an upgrade sprue to the Ogre Bulls models.

Yes, sorry. Not overly familiar with the Ogre line. As soon as someone said 'removed from website' my immediate thought was the conversion from metal to Finecast.

As far as how the boxes will look, you can examine all the new WHFB releases this year for your clues. How many of them have pictures and how many have art?

Huh... My first thought was this one time I was looking for Citadel Propellant, couldn't find it on the Canadian site, but found it on the American site. I sent them a nice e-mail about it, and got a reply back that it was just an error, and they'd notified the web team about it. I checked back on their site a while later - up to a couple of weeks, maybe? - and it was back on the Canadian site.

No incompetence, no malice, no new stuff being released, just... stuff happens with computers. Weird stuff to us, but to the computers, well, they just do what they're told to do, nothing more, nothing less.

Webservers aren't some arcane technology.

It's incompetence.

I like how GW's site is down for maintenance as I type this. ^_^

Just got my release sheet for all the ogre stuff coming out in september, and all the old plastic boxes are on it. So for whatever reason, they'll be back in stock in a week or two. Seemed to be the same price for the same amount.

Lots of cool new stuff on the way though.
