Like the title says, what is the most competitive Fantasy Army

Wood Elves, of course.

I'd have to agree, wood elves hands down.

Wood Elves constantly take the tournies, it's hard to ignore their top-tier book.

Wood Elves easily crush the competition.

My arse has splinters in it, they are that good.

The only army I really fear seeing across the table is Wood Elves

WE for sure I got my woc army wiped out last 2 times I played against em.

Wood Elves are a table top power house. BTW guys we are all going to hell =)

Sorry we should have let him figure it out that WE are the best on his own rather than just point it out so bluntly.

Yeah I mean anyone looking at the book will relise that wardancers are unstopable and dont even get me started on waywatchers.

I hear wood elves are currently top in the meta game. There's just no stopping them.

They make Space Wolves look like pansies.

When I see those broken ass tree people hit the table I just concede and pack up. What's the point? You'll only spend about 40 minutes of your life getting smeared up and down the table.

Ive just recently started Warhammer Fantasy so i know next to nothing about this game yet.

Is Wood Elves really that insane?. I imagined that maybe High Elves or Dwarfs? Maybe Chaos Warriors or Skaven were the real power houses.

Wood Elves are the worst army out there right now.

The top teir armies include Empire, Skaven, High Elves, and WoC. But the game isnt TOO unbalanced (compared to previous editions) and therefore most other armies can still compete.

I would say Empire has the most oportunity for a WAAC build (max artillery and cheap blocks of many halberdiers).

I actually was watching a game once and it was one WE player at 1000pts against a DoC 2500 and WoC 2500 and Beastman 2500 alliance. It was looking dicey at first, but things got really weird when the WE player suddenly had a heart attack while eating a slice of pizza! The ambulance came and took him away and we grabbed some old lady at the mall who was walking by and had her take over the game. She had never played WHFB before and couldn't even speak english--I think she might have been slowed too. But she still won.

I have been playing them for a while now, and I can't seem to find a really competetive list. What sort of build makes them competetive?

Yeah so you should know. Screw a Hell Pit, or Warp Lightening Cannon or Doom Rockets, even The Dreaded 13th. All pale in comparison to the ability to place a forest.

Exactly! No other army can masterfully manipulate terrain like that, it's so damn broken. I've played games where that ability has just been huge, it blocks all my stuff and there's just nothing I can do but sit and stare as my dwarves are pelted with arrows.

Wood elves easily beat Skaven anyway, it's such a terrible match for the Skaven player that it's almost unfair.

I mean, i can get Plague Furnaces, but, cmon, moving trees? its not fair

I thought WE had the worst rules in the game and needed a revamp quick.

Sarcasm? Have you seen Lord of the Rings The Two Towers? That's how WE roll with their treemen smashing things like they are nothing. Total cheese, everyone knows the WE player is their game stores TFG.

Don't mess with a Treeman, they will not die until you turn every thing against it, so you neglect the rest of the army, or until your army is dead. don't mess with a living tree that can move forests twice a turn I believe

On top of that, every single elf is just as powerful as Legolas. Yep, a single wood elf archer regularly brings down giant beasts like the hellpit.

Yeah, WE Not only do they have the best rules (ward saves that can only be beaten by magic weapons - sick!), but they have by fair the nicest looking models too.
