Hi, firstly, welcome to Dakka.

Secondly, there are a couple of things that you might want to think about in your list.

Firstly, Lootas are generally considered to be better when taken in larger squad numbers. So you might want to think about taking 1 squad of 10 Lootas rather than 2 squads of 5 Lootas.

Also, You could also split your 3 Deffkoptas into individuals with Buzzsaws each, so that way each can assault a vehicle (IIRC) and hurt it.

That's all I think I'll suggest for now but good luck.

Lootas are best in units of 5 or 15. 5 is expendable, 15 allows you to take a hit and stick around. If you take 10 and get hit and lose 3, you're now testing on 7 and possibly run away. With mob rule if your unit of 15 takes 5 casualties, you test on a 10 which is really good still. I think you are good as you have it with 2 groups of 5.

Thus, After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd

I was considering fielding the 3 sep units, however considering the orks almost need for focused fire i stuck with the 3, and also reducing possible killpoints by 2.

What equipment? It help's if you do list everything, and the points as well.

Also easier if the format keeps similar units together(HQ's, Elites, Fast Attack, etc)

Hargus took the words out of my mouth, groups of 5(2 kills to force a morale check) or 15 are the common units for Lootas.

I think your trukk boyz should be maxed.

Oops, typed this an age ago and then left the house, lol......here it is!

I'd take Lootas in either squads of 5 or 9. 9 is the first threshold you reach that forces your opponent to kill 3 dudes before you need a LD test.

There are some advantages to MSU Lootas:

~Being able to divide your fire between different targets,
~Not losing all your firepower if 1 squad winds up in CC,
~Not losing all your Lootas to a single bad LD test after a flame template,
~Your opponent has a harder time positioning their units out of LOS,
and
~You don't lose out in a huge way if you roll a 1-2 on your D3 each turn.
