I would contact Reecius if I were you. He is a Bay area local now and I am sure he would be up for a game or 10. If you are just visiting, I am sure Reecius would be happy to show you around San Fran and probably even let you crash at his place. That Reecius is a great guy.

I've also seen a necromunda group on some gang roster forums, but I haven't been able to get a hold of any of them.

I'm not sure what's up in San Francisco these days, but if you make it down to San Jose, Game Kastle is a great location. I think Thursday night is 40k night, but I'm not positive. You can check their website: www.gamekastle.com. Helpful staff, good selection of models and 3rd party accessories (including stuff from MaxMini, etc.), and a bunch of gaming tables (often with games going on).

If you like taking public transit. Both Endgame at 12st bart in Oakland and Games of Berkeley at Berkeley bart have 40k nights. Tuesday and Sat for endgame and Sunday and monday I think for Games of Berkeley.

Anyone know of shops close fairfield? Just moved to the area about a month ago; have finally got settled and am ready to get out and see whats out there! I am very new to 40k as well; I literally pieced together my army with a friend of mine and then had to move shortly thereafter so I have never actually had a chance to play.

Hey guys,
New to the forums. Somewhat new to the hobby. Located in the South Bay area. Anyone interested in playing a game of 40k at either Legends (in Cupertino) or Game Kastle? I have ~1000 points of Tau and itching to play.

Let's do the rundown (this is centered on SF since that's where Migs is. This leaves out stuff in, say, San Jose, which I'm not familiar with, and Sonoma County, which is probably hard to get to for him):
In San Francisco: Gamescape ( www.gamescapesf.com). I'm not sure offhand what they have as far as gaming groups. Easy bus access. Limited play space.
In Marin (north of San Francisco): Gamescape North ( www.gamescape-north.com) "Pizza and Painting Night" twice a month; Regular 40k night on Tuesday, Fantasy on Sats, open minis on Sunday, a Warmachine/Hordes night one other day in the week. Frequent FOW, too. Goodly number of tables available, depending on the specific time. Cheap parking around the corner, public transit from San Francisco difficult but possible.
In Oakland (across the bay): Endgame ( www.endgameoakland.com) Fantastic playspace in a loft upstairs, good access via BART, frequent miniatures play, and I think they have a paint night, too.
In Berkeley (also across the bay): Games of Berkeley ( http://www.gamesofberkeley.com/) Not sure about their regular gaming, they have a basement with some tables. Sometimes seems more TCG-centered. Excellent access via BART.
South of San Francisco: Gator Games ( www.gatorgames.com) in San Mateo. Good store with a ton of product of many makers. Not sure about their gaming, though they have tourneys sometime.
My personal choices are Gamescape North (they're my local FLGS) and Endgame (just an amazing store, layout-wise).

Oakland here. I've been through Endgame, Gamescape, and Games of Berkeley recently, and while they're all great stores, I have to say that GoB has a 40k selection that makes many GW stores blush, in addition to stocking a ton of other games and models.
For gaming space; I've only been living around here for four months, and I just had my army shipped out to me a few weeks ago, so I haven't gotten around to fighting any battles at any of these places. That been said, from poking around in the stores mentioned, I particularly liked Endgames loft-with-catwalk setup.
So, if any of y'all in the area want a game, issue a challenge! I have 2500-3000 points of SW.

I need to play more Fantasy games, and have even been slacking at regular 40k.
I have the beginnings of a Tomb King army and a lot of Tyranids (scientifically speaking).
I am posting this here so people can bug me to go to Endgame and play them. I use public transit, so there is little chance of me heading elsewhere.
Feel free to PM me, or post. I will try to keep an eye out.

I've finally settled in to an extent that I feel I must check out the local stores. Thanks very much to everyone who listed places to go to in the thread.
I may have to try an find a tournament to pace me in to finishing my army for gaming.
