Make the best footslogger army possible. Can be from any race.
Rules:
You have 3000pts to play with.
No vehicles or monstrous creatures. Infantry only.
Build as if you are playing against a competitive list (with tanks, fast attack and all the other trimmings).
Force organization is in effect.
Submit your list here and be sure to name it!

NB: Question, is a land raider considered a transport? I assume so.

1x 5 snipers w/camocloaks/ML, tele homers: 115
1x 6 snipers, Telion, Tele homer, ML: 150
Heavy Support:
3x5 devs w/ML/LC: 510
Total: 3000
Pretty simple. I use Cato Sicarius to give a bonus to one of the squads, (i'm thinking infiltrate, actually, on the melta squad, to get it up closer). Snipers hold other positions while troops advance. Termies drop to buy time/help defend held positions, also to threaten the enemy, if need be. Devs are really the only non-mech Long-range anti-tank/anti-infantry, so I have 3 of them with lascannons (that's, at least, 3 BS5 shots of lascannon).
The termies are to be some anti-tank and also anti-infantry, to be tactically applied when needed. They can also advance much faster that way (though not too sold on dsing my assault termies). Anyway, that's what I'd do with a nilla marine list.

To be honest, I'd take either of the posted Blood Angels army against whatever Tau could throw together, including vehicles. Tau are bad enough in general, at 3000 points their utterly horrible Troops are going to horribly hobble them. Same with Necrons, really, you need to be able to use all the FOC slots well to do well at such a high points level.

Might not have the firepower of some IG lists, but I feel two outflanking power blobs with a 3rd lead by 10 Ogryns with Yarrick along with 30 Rough Riders that can really do some damage along with survivibility. Orders making all of the heavy weapons twin linked means 2 heavy vehicles and 2 light transports are dead a turn. THe OotF screws other outflanking armies and my Astropath helps make sure my two power blobs arrive in good order, along with the STs and Rambo. STs have a plasma pistol incase they are attacking something like a Devorstator squad instead of a vehicle. Harker is out there as a forward firebase to pin down or put damage on units. Cover will big in this list. Against a heavy Outflank/DS list, blob 1 and the Ogryns will stay back to protect the HWSs.
