Seriously though I have been using Cato lately and he is a beast. I have pulled off two coup de graces! It's a fun feat to pull off and people usually flip there lids when their big beasts go down in one hit. Plus he gives my army so many cool bonuses! He hasn't died on me yet and he is vicious with assault marines, sporting counter attack. I really think he outshines Calgar and he isn't as expensive. Vulkan is pretty deadly without a doubt but I find him more fitting against orks, when I know im using alot of flame throwers and meltas.

I don't like Cato's background but his rules are great.
My favorite SM Character is Logan Grimnar though...

I have a friend that, when he played SM, he ran Vulkan for Chapter Tactics, and Sicarius as a beatstick.

Vulkan is crazy for his points. I wish Farsight/Shadowsun did half as much as He does for their points.

Lysander is a good too, I just never understand why he has bolter drill. I figure most people would put him with assault Terminators, but that big yellow beast is still fun.

It's mainly a fluff rule but Lysander in a drop pod with Sternguard is fairly awesome...

Wow I never actually thought of that, so he can play the role of a chaplain, except in the shooting phase.

There's no reason to put him with assault Terminators since they already do everything he does. It's just redundant. Bolter Drill is a holdover from when he was a sergeant upgrade in the 3rd ed Space Marines codex, and he could lead a tactical squad. It's cool that they advanced the story with him that way.

Lysander with a Sternguard squad or a tactical Terminator squad makes for an amazing amount of firepower. He's a bowling ball of an IC too, and can wreck just about anything. I'm really looking forward to playing a stupidly large game so I can use both him and Pedro Kantor together.

I gotta go with Vulkan. Thunerhammers, meltas, and flamers are like rock, paper, and scissors. One of them is going to beat whatever you're facing. You just have to know the right tool for the situation.

I actually like Draigo the best.With a psychic test,he deals out force attacks that wound MEQ on 2+,coupled with the best save possible.He is even more durable than Lysander,being toughness 5,is carring frag grenades,fearless,Daemonbane,master crafted weapon.Daemons,DP,Obliterators,Daemonicly possessed Marines and Vehicles,The Avatar,Mandrakes,The Decaptator(cannot spell his name) from DE.He wails on them all at Str 10,preferred enemy,psykouts.He is just beastly.

My second favourite is Shrike.His pose is epic.It looks like he is about to slash down and stab,and do some dancing techniques to fight.I love double LC in PA.It just looks like Wolverine!

I usually always field the chaplain in Term armor. He is probably one of my favorite looking models and the most fun I had painting a unit.

Marneus has always been my favorite character since I play Ultramarines but I am going to try a game or two with Sicarius just for fun. I also like the coup de grace attack. Not to many people play him from what I've seen so I am looking forward to it. The Ultramarines alone have many fun characters to try out. I love Orton Cassius too.

Agreed in spades. Thanks for the pic. I have to get this one painted. 120+ points cheaper than Marneus and with TH/SS termies it not only looks good but it packs a nasty wallop.

Reason being,for the same points,you could get either 5 TH/SS termies,or Lysander,who ID most things anyway,and has a 2+,3++,4 wounds,and EW.Sicarius has,either 4,Str 4 attacks,1 Str 6 ID attack,and a 2+,4++,aqnd feel no pain.The reroll to Steal the Initiative,or give a Tac squad USR,just isn't worth it.
