Im going to play 1400p game with my friend on saturday and I need some help, Im playing with orks against space marines, this is my army list

Okay, I'd drop a Deffkopta. Run 3 units of 1 each. You don't want a couple wounds forcing the remaining koptas to flee.
Your boss doesn't need a BP, unless he's going to run with Meganobz.
Add a BP to your Nobz unit. ICs can be singled out in CC, and will often drop before the unit does.
I'd upgrade a nob to painboy and add a few Shoota/Skorchas, and drop a PK and BC, maybe a WAAAGH! Banner.

Automatically Appended Next Post: Oh, your boss should have Cybork Body instead of 'eavy armor. Nothing like a PW or PF to start ruining his(your) day. I once had a 'Boss fighting a SM Captain who made 12 consecutive invuln saves. Ba$tard killed my Warboss, and that was with CBB!

You running Ghaz with your kommandos?
I never liked PKs on deffcoptas it is only str 7 if you charge yeah its a PW but they are not good fighting troops with the I1 attack and units of 1, they pop before they hit. If Ghaz is not going with kommandos he is slow and purposeful. It really looks like you will get the gak shot out of you before you start hitting their face with no way to move 18 inches first turn

I'm not a huge fan of buzzsaw koptas either, but the fact is that they are fairly effective against armor units short of LR/Monoliths. TL-Rokkit shot, then 3 S7 attacks, and if you won initiative, you're going to hit. All in all, if it destros more in points than you spent, then they were points well used.

That's is all they are designed for really. you pop a manticore or even tie up a longfang squad it has done its job. Stopping a manticore or devs for one turn can make or break certain games. Especially with boys so close together you are saving a lot of lives and therefore more for your assault. They are a very good unit in my opinion and have helped me win many games for 70pts. Yeah, I just hate to think of units as throw away. I'm used to glass cannons, and intellectually I know they are points well spent. You're right though, sometimes tying up a unit or two for a single round can make or break a game. Automatically Appended Next Post: And with that logic, I still love the overpriced Stormboyz!

Enough rokkits can hit something, i like rokkits instead of shootas because shootas are low str, so yeah you are going to land 1 of the 3 shots but than you have a low chance to wound, with rokkits if you hit you wound and you can blow up tanks with them

If you've got some lootas you want a couple of units of 10 or 5. You want to start forcing his marines to take armour saves as soon as you can, and keep the pressure on. Even the best armour saves will eventually fail if you can keep forcing them to roll dice.
you also want to force him to worry about what's hitting him from range whilst you get up close and personal with your nobz/ warboss.
If you haven't got lootas in the house I'd add them to your list of things to get next.
Finally your boyz. Make sure you take shoota boyz rather slugga & choppa boyz. I've discovered in my games with orks that even with the charge and the silly amount of attacks the lack of ap weapons on orks really hinders their CC ability against marines. Again I'd be focusing on running mobile screens of orks who can shoot at 18" keeping your marine opponent trying to react to lots of threats hiding what will give him a good spanking in cc.
If you do take deffkoptas I would use them to hunt high armour heavy infantry or light vehicles/ troop transports.

Why 10 lootas? You loose a few and they run off the board. Use 5 then you are not throwing away points. Better to loose 75 pts than 150.

I've not had mine scarper yet, although I have to admit after running 10 I split down into groups of 5 as 10 is often overkill when you want to take singles down
Either way, I just couldn't run an ork list without lootas, they just seem stupidly good value for points and nearly always kill more than they cost.
