Looking for some figures to use in my Orks as captured humies. The WFB Empire Flagellants aren't bad, definitely like the ragged clothing, but even by heroic scale standards they're a bit muscular for malnourished captives.
I play a fair bit in GW stores, so I'm hoping for a GW product, but if there's a perfect third party product I'll 'go rogue'.

My games store has a discount bin with all kinds of old minis. Since a lot of those old D&D figs are slightly smaller, they look all small and meek. I don't know if your store has a similar arrangement, but I bet you could find some on eBay.

What you need is the tried and tested 'malnourished civilian' kit:
(both from the fantasy line)
Empire free company/flagellants + zombie regiment
(also good for zombie pirates, human skavenslaves and various other things)
Want a more futuristic look
Catachans + zombie regiment
As long as you use the least-decayed parts from the zombie set, you can get some really ragged, half-starved looking chaps!
I use the first combination to make human slaves for my skaven and my mordheim zombie pirates, and I have one or two of the second combination sitting about from boredom when the LatD came out.

I had an idea of using skeletons as bodies and flagellant heads as heads. With a bit of gs you make the skeleton bodies have some flesh on them (mainly on the joints). That could make them look like starving oomies.
I haven't tested this.

Every time I hear "in my opinion" or "just my opinion" makes me want to strangle a puppy. People use their opinions as a shield that other poeple can't critisize and that is bs.
If you can't defend or won't defend your opinion then that "opinion" is bs. Stop trying to tip-toe and defend what you believe in. |

I'll be sculpting 'scifi civilians' (male and female) for my line of minis in the next few months... Some in everyday poses (drinking coffee, reading datapads etc), some in fleeing poses, possibly some wounded. Depends on how quick you want the models really!
I'll also be sculpting some scifi/futuristic cops along the Appleseed/Ghost in the Shell/Deus Ex line if anyone is interested.

I could model you some captives. Re-pose hands to be bound in manacles chained up to the next guy and such.

Wait, I've got it! Crypt Ghouls are perfect. All I need to do is get rid of that weird back hair stuff they have, and even though they're a bit buff their stooped posture and feral expressions will make it a cinch to have them look like they've been stripped of all humanity by the Mad Doks and Runtherds.
I'll put my Gretchin set to use as riggers and assistants; they can be trusted to know where to hit an engine with a big spanner until it works. Umies, on the other hand, are completely useless and best put to use clearing minefields.
