Hey guys,

So when Storm of Magic came out, I instantly fell in love with the Warriors of Chaos Sorcerer model that came with it. I knew I'd have to 40k him up a little, but I knew I'd love painting him and adding him to my growing Alpha Legion army. Finally came some freetime, so I picked him up and worked on him. I must say, I'm extremely happy with the model, from the Jade effects to the Sapphires and skintone.

The glowing hand effect needs a little more work, but I'm fairly happy with it right now.

Alrighty guys, C&C is always appreciated! I'm thinking I may do the new Chaos Nurgle Lord next, but we'll have to see.

I like him, alot. But on thing that really stands out for me are the teeth. For some reason a sorcerer of chaos wouldn't seem to brush his teeth everyday, to me at least.

They do seem kinda... Bunnyish?

Looks awesome! I'd add a backpack to him though but other than that he looks real nice. I like the way you did the eyes.

He looks indeed really nice, and the colours do link him to the Alpha Legion.

But his somewhat frail frame, and lack of 40k-realated accessories / gear / weapons prevent me from seeing in him an Alpha Legionnaire : he'd be perfect as an Alpha Legion cultist or cult magus, however.

Good job!

@Lunarghost: You don't know that the Gods of Chaos don't support excellent dental health!

@Chowderhead: That's my one gripe with the model. The teeth and horns give the model a rabbit-like appearance. I'd thought about filing the horns off, the head would become a really good vampiresque head at that point.

@Michaelcycle: Thanks! I was contemplating a backpack, I'm just worried it would unbalance the model. I'm extremely pleased with the eyes

@Yggdrasil: Thanks! My thought was he was more daemonic at this point than Astartes. His bulked out frame reduced physically but powered psychically. It doesn't show up in the picture, but I do have a bolt pistol on his side, and the staff will work as a Force Weapon.

Thanks guys!

I really liked that model, too The sweet line of models almost had me shelling out for the Storm of Magic expansion lol

It's a great paintjob of an Alpha Legionaire, but he simply doesn't look like a space marine. I'm sure it would be too much of a problem to put a backpack and a bolt pistol on him.

I'm debating on the backpack..when I think of it, I think so many pros, but then start to talk myself out of it.
I say to go with what you want.
