yeah,
Ok I'm currently 2 for 3 in my dakka suggestions becoming reality!
woot!

Here's idea number 4...
might be difficult to implement.

When discussing a image it would be useful to be able to zoom into the part of the image under discussion and then copy a Link to the zoomed image.

Even better would be to be able to insert the zoomed view straight into a topic.

for example if I was discussing my DE womandrakes greenstuff masks I could go to a image and zoom in.
Copy a img link and past that to the thread and it will show the zoomed image as a new image?

Am I making sense... here's an attached image that will hopefully help make sense...

Panic...

You're hoping that you can drop a link to a specific, zoomed section of an image in the gallery, much like you can drop a link to a youtube video at a specific time (rather then just the beginning), yes?

Sounds like it would need a bit of work coding wise, but also very useful.

That would be a sod to code.

yeah,
I guess it would be but that's why I suggest... it's by having features and options like this so we can more easily talk about our little plastic men, that dakka becomes better.

Panic.

Might add it, when the gallery redesign stuff is eventually done - I'm working on a lot of optimisations and tweaks for the gallery at the moment.
