Dsteingass, could you tell me what kind of airbrush/rig you use? I own a compressor though not made for airbrushing, just a home depot comp. Can I strap any Abrush to it and go nuts?

Sure! As long as you have a regulator and a moisture trap. Don't just buy whatever AB you find (or you'll be discouraged). You first need to know whether you want a general purpose brush or a detail brush.
I have a Badger 150 for general purpose and a Badger Renegade Krome for detail. I use a 1.5HP/3 gallon tank -regular shop compressor. I added a second, digital regulator ($14 from Harbor Freight) to accurately dial the pressure down to 15-25 pSI)
