I just noticerd that the Kharn the Betrayer model looks a lot like the SM sgt from Battle form Macragge set.

I can't post pics, but if anyone can post images of these 2 models to show what I mean I would be grateful.

Thanks.

Now, boys and girls, do they look the same, or is it just me? Are the Ultramarines not telling something importent?

Several of the older Space Marine models have a similar pose to Kharn.

The biggest indicator someone is a loser is them complaining about 3d printers or piracy.

Sorry, the pose is what I meant. They even have their weapons in the same hands.

To me, it looks as though thart sgt is Kharn in disguise. He is just waiting to turn around and wallop the rest of the squad.

No, Ultramarines would never turn to Khorne.

With their pursuit of perfection they obviously follow Slaneesh.

Kharn only lives to slaughter, he wouldnt bother with disguising himself, wouldnt be able to hold himself in check anyway, he's just find ultramarines and bash them with his axe until they're a bloody smear, a thought such as aubterfuge wouldnt get past his implants

"Gun out, arm in the air" is one of the more dynamic poses available with one body piece, one arm piece, and a two part mold. It's just a half decent pose is all.

Hardly. Due to how metal (and now, finecast) molds are made, models need to be 'flat'. Any kind of dynamic posing needs to be done in a more 2 dimensional way. Anything sticking too far forward is going to cause issues, which is why things like the gun arms that are poking forward are done as a separate peice, similarly 'flat' in the mold. Added to the fact that thin metal bends, they couldn't really play around much. For example, the new VC Necromancer, with its sweeping cloak made of two parts that join at the back of the model and sweep forward, would have been too thin and prone to bending as a metal, and would have been practically impossible to securely attach to the main body. As plastic, it's fine, since they have more leeway in how to make the molds and plastic glue doesn't require pinning.

The old one arm up, gun arm as an additional peice is a good way to add dynamic movement to a single or two peice metal model without causing greif when trying to get it cast.
