Here's what a ran in a recent 40K charity event + modified for some lessons learned, and I had so much success, I'd run it again. One sorceror deep strikes, the other rides in the Land Raider. This gives them both a fair bit of protection during the "pop the transports" phase of the dual lash attack. It's worked out pretty dang good. Here's the list!

Well I've played a few game with princes, and they just.. never last. Everything that starts with "Plas" or ends in "Cannon" gets turned their way, and they drop before you know it. With all the power weapon laden super assault squads running around, they just don't seem to pack the punch in CC that they used to. Combo that with the Force Weapon's multi-wound model vaporization.. and you've got a winner, in my opinion.

DPs are EW so I hope you're not letting force weapons kill them off. I agree though on them becoming cannon fodder though, it's just too difficult sometimes to keep them close enough to lash something, yet far enough away from heavy weapons to see Turn 2/3. Sorcerers are definitely the way to go since they are well protected within a larger group, they might even see the end of the game.

How do you plan to get by with so little troops?

I haven't really had that much trouble with troop numbers. I'm a fairly big proponent of 1 scoring unit per 500p of the army.

I'm curious, did you face heavily meched opponents? I could see this list working well against lists with 4-6 vehicles, but not something like my mech BA list with 5 Las/Plas Razorbacks, 3 Auto/Las Predators, 3 Baal Predators and 2 Furioso Dreadnoughts with Blood Talons. All my vehicles are fast, and I can give them 5+ cover via Shield. The Termicide would help a bit, but I think you're going to have a hard time finding ways to use the Lash.

Your right. BA fast vehicle spam is overpowered. Not sure what else you wanted to hear there.

The Sorc's lash is more utility, and less killy. Smart players use lash to push away units they can't win in assault, and lash forward priority targets to their assault units.

The simple "lash and smash" tactic is dying, due in part to the advent of mech spammy lists. The utility of lash AFTER the tank-popping is said and done, however, is undeniable.

Your BA mech spam list isn't going to be boss hoss for long. Sisters can bring so much melta, it isn't even funny. And necrons are 2-3 months out depending on who you believe, and I bet you Gauss weapons are going to be rending/glancing.

Every dog has his day.

"The utility of lash AFTER the tank-popping is said and done, however, is undeniable. "

Great quote right there. Makes it much smarter to play the sorcs also, since lash will quadruple in effectiveness on turns 4-5 (objectives, in range, transports popped). Both of them have a good chance of being on the board still by then.

What's the purpose of having the riding sorc in terminator armor? +1 save, but he's got a bodyguard. So you could load him up with some other wargear and just not take any ap2 wounds on him. Maybe even take wings to give a nice range factor on him.

I wasn't trying to boast about my awesome unstoppable list, so I apologize if my post read that way. I pointed out what I saw as weaknesses in your list hoping that you would contradict me based on what actually occurred. After all, you got good results.

I'm genuinely curious if you faced the sort of list I run, and if so, how you performed. You said you used it in a tournament, so I was hoping to learn something from your experience.

Ah. Gotcha, my bad.

I faced an IG parking lot. Piles and piles of armor. Luckilly, in the case of IG, I don't have to worry about the models inside in the assault phase. It went well. It was a killpoints game, and I scored a massacre.
