Hi,
Can someone help me, give some advise to give a loyal unit guardsmen (veterans) an unique look?
It need to be converted with green stuff or plastic card...

don't think, you have to know it if you want to be a commander

2011 IG losses: 2, draws: 1 wins: 32
2012 losses: 8, draws: 0 wins: 15

Whats your army theme and comfort level working with GS and plasticard?

What about modelling based on the cover of the old codex cityfight:

It actually is the same armor as the cadians used in 2nd/early 3rd ed but it gives them a nice "throwback" look like they've been fighting for awhile & have the old issue armor.

Would be pretty easy to do honestly.

this is the colour scheme: http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/200463-commander.html
the theme of my army is rocky snowbases and a small story about them is: they hate nurgle and they try to poise them with scorpion poison (i know it is a little to weard)

it doesn't matter what comfort level i am, i need some ideas to make 2 units of my guardmen unique.
these looks give me 2 extra points for the grand tournament from the part 'painting'.

my guardsmen are the standard models (model+lasgun), and i gave them the grenades for wysiwyg. thats how they look like and i must 'convert' 2 units to give them a unique look...

Maybe something as simple as surgical masks or ventilators (anti Nurgle)?

Knowing your comfort level allows people to better tailor suggestions to something you could pull off without making it look like a lump of green stuff stuck on a models head.

But yeah - a gas mask thing, or maybe convert them into hazmat type things ( those large hoods with a clear visor ) then paint them up in a sort of PVC gloss affair.
maybe circa L4D:

Perhaps the veterans could be based on Steel Legion/Death Korps (and thus have gas masks)?

Buy SW bits and stick it to them: fur coats, bear skin rags etc. You can also mix them with other kits like, say, Empire State Gunners, Empire Free Company or Bretonnian Men-at-Arms.

Violence is not the answer, but it's always a good guess.
