GAH!
You might like to try some washes - browns, reds and pus-like oranges - to add colour to the green areas and make them look suitably infected. (This is also a great way to distinguish green painted equipment from rotten green flesh.) It's very difficult to overdo the seeping yuk with Nurgle, so you can afford to be bold and experimental!
For metallics, are you intending them to be gunmetal or actual silver? Silver's actually an antibacterial agent, so it would be a bit of an odd material for Nurgle's minions. Corroded gunmetal looks great for Nurgle; my favourite method on my Orks is a Bestial Brown basecoat, a Cathal Brown drybrush, a light Boltgun Metal drybrish, and then apply a yellowy orange wash (I mix my own by eye, sorry) and wipe off surplus with my thumb. (To make it REALLY corroded, stop at Cathal Brown and put the slightest hint of metal on the edges.)
