Played tested this list earlier against an Ork footslog force and completely destroyed them. I faced 2 squads of 20 boyz with powerklaw toting nobs and a Big Mek HQ w/ Kustom Force Field. He also had 3 Kannons with him which took out 2 battlesuits but were mostly ineffective due to Dawn Of War. (It was a capture and control mission) I wanted to see if anyone could make this list better:
HQ:
Shas'El. Air-bursting Frag Launcher. Missile Pod. Blacksun. Multi-tracker.
Troops:
-6 Firewarriors. Devilfish.
-10 Kroot
Elites:
-2 Crisis Suits. Missile Pod/Burst Cannon combo with Multi-trackers.
-2 Crisis Suits. Missile Pod/Burst Cannon combo with Multi-trackers.
500 pts. I had a Targetting Array on the Devilfish but I'd much rather have the Target Lock on the HQ because he often babysits a team of Crisis Suits.

They did their job perfectly. They hide in cover and give LoS blocking goodness to the battlesuits. They are great sacrificial units to the greater good! Once they soak up an assault and hopefully lose, the Suits clean up what's left. Any tips on making the list stronger?

I'm concerned about the lack of plasma. MEQs, TEQs and Feel no Pain can only be brought down with weight of fire. Have you faced any of those yet with this list? You might be able to shave off enough points to upgrade a crisis team to fireknives.

What kind of armies have you been facing with this list?

I have been facing Orks as of late and Nids. MEQ's won't have much in the way of troops at this level or much less anything else. That goes double for TEQ's. However, if I do face such threats then I'll need to focus on range, maneuverability and weight of fire. Hopefully I won't face any jump infantry with AP1 or powerfists.

Nice nice. How has it been treating you against the hordes? I'm not going to throw out any opinions as I think it's not really what you field it's how you use what you field. Have you faced any SM armies , IG, Eldar with it yet? As a former Tau player I'm always interested to hear stories about the lower tier armies. Personally I didn't do too bad when I played, SM armies would fall to my wrath, but horde armies would tune me. It just got so boring turtling and running away all the time, hence why I don't play Tau anymore .

The HQ shouldn't need to baby-sit anyone. Single suits are far easier to hide with JSJ ... assuming you have LoS-blocking terrain. I'd dump the 'fish as the FWs don't need its protection in a 500 point game. The enemy won't have the mobility to hunt down the FWs, even if you're playing on a 4x4 table. Put its points into another pair of FireStorms ( BC/ MP/ MT) ... you'll have to trim something, prolly the HQ's AfP to a BC, but it'd be well worth it for the 2 extra FireStorms.
You'll find only Vanguard with Herioc Intervention, ork Deffkoptas or other AlphaStrike (Turn 1 Assault) units can spoil your fun.

Considering that at 500 points, there's only going to be 20ish marines to deal with. 5+ FireStorms can smoke 'em off fast enough without PlasmaRifles.

Have you considered the Bladestorm? It's the most efficient and effective killer of most infantry types. Check out the guide/math hammer in my signature.

Will do, thanks for all the input. Play tested the list again against Orks and tied, although the player didn't have a very good force to begin with. I will opt to remove the Devilfish for another 2 suits like this:
HQ: Shas'el
-Missile Pod
-Flamer
-Blacksun Filter
2 Battlesuits.
-Missile Pods
-Burstcannons
-Multi-trackers
2 Battlesuits.
-Missile Pods
-Burstcannons
-Multi-trackers
2 Battlesuits.
-Missile Pods
-Burstcannons
-Multi-trackers
6 Firewarriors
10 Kroot
I didn't have enough points for a MT and BC on the HQ, however I just threw a cheap flamer and BS filter to bring the points to 499.

You could field a FW crew instead of kroot, and then you'd have points to make the Shas' el useful.
