Did Warhammer 40k ever scare you or give you nightmares?
I remember when I first got into it last December; at first I didn't like it because the grimdarkness was too dark and scary for me and the fact that it was going to be expensive( I felt a bit "tethered" to the game because I feel that i had the obligation to play the game and put more money into it as I already blew money the into AOBR set and did not want it to go to waste) and I had a bunch of nightmares for 2 weeks for some reason involving chaos.
But after I played my first game(which was like 2 or 3 weeks after I bought the AOBR set) I realized that it was awesome and after reading up on less grim dark stuff like the Tau, Tanith first and only and the fact that its possible for Ynead to awaken and kill slaneesh and how Abaddon STILL can't pass the Cadian gate, I got over the grim darkness

Nope... Had a dream with a transformer once... he was part of the army led by an evil wizard who wanted to kill my cat. Actually that dream was fairly surreal...

The closest thing to a nightmare I had was that I was a Terminator in a space hulk, and I was shooting at a Genestealer down a hallway. I kept missing until it got real close and slashed at me, and just then a really loud clap of thunder woke me up.

Well, one time I had a very scary one involving Nurglings. Lots and LOTS of nurglins. It was only a nightmare at first, though, because then the Daemonnetes (fluff daemonettes, the ones who are the the "epitome of female beauty") got there and killed them all. There were some Sororitas there too. and Guardswomen. And then the party started!

I think I was a guardsmen or marine in a thunderhawk once. We crashed and died fairly quickly methinks.

I had a dream where I was being chased through a strangely grey and almost post apocolyptic (or at least, dystopian) version of Dublin by robot ghost dogs. They wanted my blood, see.
So I took refuge in GW on Liffey Street, which had some sort of kid filled participation game on. The dog-robo-ghosts missed me at first, and as I was crouched behind a gaming table, I noticed they were having a really great sale on BFG ships! I was really excited, until I realised the dogs were now between me and the ATM, and I had no money on me.
When I woke up I was solidly resolving to hurry back once I'd shaken my pursuit and make good on the excellent bargain.

I've had a fair few 40k induced dreams/nightmares. The most recent I remember are:
1:Being chased through the dessert and shanty town along a cliff by khorne bezerkers.
2: I was a a soldier from dust tactics trying to help sanguinous defeat Horus. Somehow they were both flying but Horus was laying the smack down on sanguinous. I was trying to find something to turn the tide.
3: A groups if friends and myself were being stalked by the deciever while he slowly took us one by one. Our weapons(planks of wood/saucepans) were harmless against him.

That's totally bizarre and detached from reality. A sale on BFG ships? Preposterous. And my blood-drinking robot ghost dog agrees.

I've never had a 'nightmare' about 40k, though when I dream, seldom as it might be, it's frequently about list building, D&D character options, or (ugh) work. One time I was agonizing over the last 10 points in a list I was trying to build and I had a dream about not being able to figure it out and playing without them and losing horribly. That's kind of a nightmare, I guess.
My dreams are boring. :(
