Hi! I added this to the wrong part of the website, cuz i'm dumb apparently, rofl.
Hello everyone! I play my brother, mostly, in Warhammer 40,000. He's the Space Marines, damn good with them too, which means he's a real pain in the butt to play. I like my Orkz just fine, I win about 60-70% of the time, but only by the skin of my teeth. So, I've decided to add a new addition to my hordes of Orkz. Stormboyz! I haven't decided whether to give a nob or Zagstrukk, but we'll cross that bridge when I get there.
My question for you all is, not only to save money, but to kind of have a big middle finger to my brothers army is I was going to purchase some space marine jump packs, scratch them up and add a few orky bitz (Spikes, glyphs, stickbombs, that sorta thing) and paint them to resemble his Ultramarine packs. Does anyone think this would be acceptable to do as a conversion? I think it would be, considering most Ork tech is looted anyways.

Use ork boyz and assault marines, then paint the assault marines [with normal backpacks, they have those] and give them to your brother.

I actually had this idea with using my death company jump packs. I like the idea a lot and it would be a very orky touch to use space marine gear. As for Zagstrukk I dunno if I'm a big fan for the amount of points he is. Might as well get a nob with pk IMO.

Yes, Orks with SM jump-packs sound exactly right. Make sure you post some pics as you do them, as I bet they'd look terrific.
